To me, this movie is perfection.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

Unfunny. Goofy. Dawdling. Gewgaw acting. No, I didn't like this dumb flick.The plot rambles along from one implausible situation to another. Is it all a dream, yes, a nightmare! Is it all real, yes, bad luck for us all. Then the ending of the movie. It is suppose to be conclusive but it is just more of the same.Not a comedy, not a drama, not a fantasy, not anything. Far from science fiction! The storyline read as great fun. Rich boy gone bad and a woman's revenge. A towns revenge. Everybody is in on the game! I'm sure the movie 'extras' got a good lunch for their efforts during the filming.If you are a binge drinker and want to find a way to start or stop drinking; watch this flick!

What this film is about is revenge. It's listed a "dark comedy."!I guess that's a good description. I couldn't believe all of the plot twists. I never knew which direction the story was going as it's so fresh - so original. The acting was superb with Cary Elwes and Teri Polo. As soon as I finished watching it, I had to watch it again. On the second time around I noticed even more cool story twists that I noticed the first time. I checked up on the person who wrote the script and horror seems to be his usual thing. I think he is a genius for coming up with such an original script and so major League intelligent dialogue. I highly recommend this flick!

The greatness of this film is in the writing. If you enjoy dark comedies, than this film is for you. This movie is well acted with Cary Elwes and Teri Polo starring. Brooks (played by Cary Elwes) lives a life of luxury thanks to his uber rich wife Amanda (Teri Polo). Brooks has anything a man could desire but, it's not enough. Brooks weakness is that he likes to have affairs with other women. He has driven his wife to the point where she is crazy and decides to plot some major revenge. When her plan is carried out, all hell breaks loose. Suddenly, Brooks is caught up in a cat and mouse game for his very survival. The movie is a bit wordy but very intelligent like a Whit Stillman movie almost. I think it's fair to say that the movie is for a more sophisticated audience who can appreciate the black humor. I can't say enough about it. after initially renting the film, I went back and purchased it on Amazon so I could watch it again.

*********SPOILER FREE*********** So those of you guys who are looking for a good time by watching a movie and have some beers while you are at it, please do not watch this one.I don't usually review movies but this one made me come out here and write it so that i could save a few good souls from committing one of the biggest mistakes of their lives. This movie is a MASSIVE waste of time and energy. Actings are cliché and the story is.... well i don't think there are any English word that can do justice to this. Even after my warning,if you still decide to watch, you will understand why i named my TITLE as NOTHING. Giving it a 2 is giving it too much credit.Simply put this movie is hollow. There is nothing in the movie that i can praise about.Please DON'T INVEST TIME ON THIS.
