It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

This is a better than average Disney TV. The leads, Lindsey Lohan and Bug Hall, can actually act. There actually IS a plot, and the minimal level of "contrived perkiness" will make the film more palatable to Adult viewers. On the positive side, there are NO superheroes in the entire film, and no overly caffeinated High Schoolers pretending to be Pop Stars. IT makes for a refreshing change of pace from the more modern Disney films. This is not High Quality Entertainment, but it is an entertaining little film which you can watch with your family and not be disturbed by the content.

GET A CLUE. OK are you kidding me?! i love this movie. all the high tech spy gear, the mystery, the crime! it is a great movie, especially for little children, that watch movies like this! i think that the acting is good. i used to LOVE watching this movie when i was a little child, and now my little 5 year old sister likes it.This movie make children smile and makes them have an ambition to go for what they believe in. it sends a good message. Disney channel did a great job creating this movie. so what if it takes place in NYC and that children shouldn't be able to solve cases like this, its a Disney channel movie, not made for adult that want to criticize it. so i don't know what you're talking about but this movie is amazing.

A story about a girl who has everything, including a father who sometimes looks like Adolph Hitler. Parts of this story were a pain to me, the first time that I saw it. She has everything, including two people who look down on her. Except that as the events progress she shows even more of her everything and they end up happy that she is around. After the first viewing I was soon starting to find this to be a rather nice story, one of Lindsay's best. She has everything, including fashion. The name New York Fashion is well known to me from many easy to read type romantic novels in the 80's and 90's. This is shown here in capital letters. The mid teens 2001ish range anyway. Suddenly it is a name that is positive and vibrant, not just a tag. Lindsay as a special ambassador showing that the expensive side of New York can rate a stately honour.* Update at October 2008 Having just seen Clueless 1995, these two feel interlinked. This is a story about 15s acted by 15s. Not 15s by 18s. The story is set on the opposite coast to the city of La. This does not attempt to justify its existence by way of links to literature. She has a distinctive way of starting the day, communion with her wardrobe. She is influenced by her adulation of her dad's ways, just he looks like Adolph Hitler. This is centred on a murder of a pet Russian, it is not a Christian slater. Teachers are shown to have a need for a right to privacy. The ending includes two teachers marrying. It is a Disney, not a Paramount.

Being the biggest Lindsy Lohan fan I will always say good words about all her movies, including this one. The script was pretty good, although it could have been better. Even with this Lindsay did an admirable job interpreting Lexy Gold. So, I don't think it's necessary to tell here about the action, but I can say that the end of the film is very surprising, and, so I really enjoyed it, with a little question for the writer. Do you think that this is possible in real life? I don't think so. Anyway, great movie. Good work Lindsay! 10/10
