At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

It's a small non-descript town. Martha (Debbie Doebereiner) is middle age, works with her best friend 20something Kyle (Dustin James Ashley) in a doll factory, and takes care of her father. They live boring unimpressive lives. Young Rose (Misty Wilkins) starts a new job at the factory, and is befriended by Kyle and Martha. Rose is a single mom to 2 year old Jesse and wants to leave this boring town. Rose hires Martha to babysit her daughter for a night. It turns out that Rose is going out with Kyle on a date. Rose steals Kyle's money. She goes home and Jesse's daddy Jake barges in accusing her of stealing his weed and money. Martha is shocked and Rose is angry. The next morning, Rose is dead strangled in her home. Detective Don Taylor investigates interviewing Jake, Kyle and Martha. This is basically an indie shot by an expert Steven Soderbergh. I guess he's trying to give this a feel of realism by using non-actors in the roles. The dialog is weak. It is very aimless for the first half. The acting is sometimes lifeless which is expected from these regular folks. Although Debbie Doebereiner has a good energy about her. She could be an interesting actress if she wants to. Dustin James Ashley mumbles way too much. This is an interesting exercise. At least, it showed me that acting matters. Also real people doesn't automatically make it realistic.

Holy mother of God this movie made me want to cut my eyes out... Aritistry= Nonexistent Plot= Nonexistent I don't know how this movie was able to get a 6.6 Save yourself the agony. Icant even begin to tell you how disappointing this movie is. The actors suck.. makes no difference that they lived in the town and weren't actors by trait. Pisses me of that people actually think this movie deserves a nomination. Complete and utter garbage. Complaints are as follows... No plot, terrible acting, no development, very short, and just boring. Im very disappointed not only in the movie but my self i should've shut it off 20 minutes in.

Well...nothing out of the ordinary happens in this film. It simply shows normal everyday people going about their normal everyday lives. I'm sure some film patrons would enjoy this plain, down to earth style of film, but when I watch a movie or show, I look for stories that are not ordinary, because I myself live an ordinary life and want to see things portrayed that happen outside of my own life and space. There's no protagonist in this film, no real heroes or villains, not much conflict, and the characters don't really grow or change. Pretty much just a depiction of ordinary people living ordinary lives, at a time when there are no real significant events happening in their lives. The film does end with a slightly different event happening, but by that time, I was completely numbed by the drab and dreary story of these characters' experiences (or rather non-experiences), that I didn't really care. Possibly the worst film I've ever seen, tied with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

In a small North American town, the middle age Martha (Debbie Doebereiner) and the twenty and something years old Kyle (Dustin Ashley) work in a doll factory. Martha nurses her old father and usually gives a lift to Kyle, who works also in the night-shift cleaning a shovel factory. When the young single mother Rose (Misty Wilkins) is hired to work with airbrush and stencils in the factory, she is befriended by Kyle and Martha. In a Friday night, Rose hires Martha to work as babysitter of her two year old daughter Jesse and Martha finds that she is dating Kyle. Rose returns back home early after stealing Kyle's savings, and Martha witnesses Jesse's father Jake (K.Smith) accusing Rose of stealing weed and money from his house. On the next morning, Rose is found strangled in her house and Detective Don Taylor (Decker Moody) interviews Jake, Kyle and Martha along his investigation."Bubble" is an extremely simple low-budget movie disclosing a tale of losers. The three lead characters have basic education only and spend their hopeless lonely lives in a small town without any perspective. Their greatest ambitions are traveling on vacation to Aruba (Martha) or buy a car (Kyle). The good point in this flick is the acting of unknown débutant actors and actresses, all of them with great and credible performances. The camera work is very simple, the identity of the killer is easily predictable and there is nothing special in this film but the mentioned top-notch performances. The shameful DVD released by Brazilian distributor Paris Filmes does not allow the viewer to access the Menu unless after watching advertisements and a trailer. My vote is six.Title (Brazil): "Bubble"
