I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

If you rate this just for what it has to say, than I'd say the rating number should be a lot higher. But I do think than apart from the Message it's also important how you say something. And while this is an overall decent effort, there are quite a few flaws within. One of them being that the movie is quite cliché.It does try to show a different side and paint the "villain" in more than just one shade of dark/evil. I'd say it doesn't fully succeed. But the actors try their best in this "found footage" style (it's actually a "documentary", though it does have footage of things that are convenient for the plot, but don't make sense for a documentary). Overall decent, nothing more, but also nothing less

This is a heartbreaking movie about bullying and status in schools. It's about real and fake friends, and loving and broken families. It's also about lack of interest and lack of balls in the school-management. And suicide. About how damaging bullying can be, and how cruel humans can get. And its really not like any other teen movies about bullying. This one is raw, and real, and spot on. This is real life, just in a movie. I saw the title and the thumbnail for the movie at Netflix, and didn't read the summary or did any research before I watched this movie, so i actually thought it was a documentary until the very end. Can you believe watching this hole film thinking it was real? i cried so much i actually was shaking, but also shaking because i was so mad. I haven't felt an anger like this in a long time, and my heart broke several times. The fact that I could even believe that this was a real movie makes me so worried, just because this COULD really happen. This IS happening, all over the world! i think anybody should see this movie, and I think this movie is a real eyeopener for everyone. If this movie do not touch or move you in any way, you are dead inside, and that I'm sure of.

This movie impressed me. It shows bullying from both perspectives, especially what it can do to the victim, who was nearly driven to suicide, and the oppressor was given a chance to express her side of things. I liked the filming and points of view of the movie, as it was filmed in a news style and documentary style, kind of like the way The Office or Parks and Recreation were filmed, except this was no sitcom. The harassment scenes were a bit difficult to watch, though, and the girl's reaction and wanting to confide in her friend and film it were good. Hunter King's scenes towards the end were excellent. This is a good movie to show anyone in high school. It has a different perspective now with cyber and text bullying and harassment. All the performances were top notch, and you will love the last shot.*** out of ****

When I first saw this movie I added it to my watch list but after read in the description I thought it'd be a lifetime movie style, cheesy, high school bullying story. I decided to give it a try anyway out of boredom. What I thought would be a cheesy film actually turned out to be pretty realistic and tragically sad. The whole nation is all about bullying these days and I for one think things have gone a little over the top. But this film accurately portrays the events that lead up to teen suicide in the events of bullying. This movie is different in the fact that they show both sides of the story; the bully and the victim. This is a movie that could be shown in schools as a warning, if it wasn't for some swearing.
