Residue (2015)

I love this movie so much

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

5 minutes, shut it off, WOW Beyond horrible! Continuity, thanks we don't need it, oh that missing chair? Don't need it! The bloody coat? Nahh no bodies on the dissection table, no table in a motel room. God I hate seeing people who don't know what to write. This movie was wasted in the first 3 minutes, That covered the action scene and car chase, alien attack that took place rather than the opening credits.

Wow, finally I like a series once and it gets canceled. f.e. I detest that too the max overrated hyped soap-series "Game of Thrones" with its über-annoying boring story-telling about NOTHING. Residue on the other hand has all GoT has NOT; good story, impressing, spooky, tension,.....and breathtaking astonishing beautiful camera work/scenes. The scenery , oh man , the beautiful sceneries....accompanied with an outstanding music-score.. Parallel series are Containment and Cordon. I give Containment a try, seems acceptable to me and that Belgium Cordon is a joke no one laughs about...... Anyway, I am hoping that the material available of Residue gets released on Blu Ray soon....

Yes .. I think this deserves a 10. Overall this one had everything I expected from the proper acting to the interesting story to great camera view, everything fits in and is nicely done. I started watching this a bit late and I was not able to stop and go to sleep. I wanted more. No, you will not understand much, yes it is a bit long with slow progress, yes this is a pilot, yes this is available online for free, but having said all that, I would still pay for a 3D theater projection of this movie. It probably isn't for everyone and you will have a bunch of people out there expecting something else instead of accepting it for what it really is. I loved how the slow progress and lack of information makes your mind race. All those that already felt being numb and powerless looking in the depth of night will get this. The rest better hunt some other Hollywood sausage machine generated movies. :)

Overall the idea of this show is fantastic. People unknowingly developing supernatural abilities that cause disaster amongst the city, while a detective and journalist try to solve it is great. The only bad thing about this show is it is only 3 episodes in a single season. It is a total tease, the British always do this, they suck at television. That is why the It Crowd is only like four episodes a season. Learn how to do television seasons right you damn British! I mean the minimum for American television shows is at least eight episodes, some shows push for over twenty season which is freaking incredible. The fact that there are only three episodes in this entire first season is downright stupid. Overall I would give the show at least three more stars if they learned how to not tease the audience and at least did eight episodes per season.
