Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Yes As Mentioned Before In Another Review The Whole "From The View Of The Camera" Genre Has Been Beaten To Death With Most Of The Movies (In My Opinion) Less, Much Much Less Than Quality. If The Above Info Is Correct This Movie Was Shot In 5 Days And All The Dialog Was Ad libbed, So What Do You Expect "NOT WHAT I GOT" This Is A Freaking Great Movie, From The Boarding Of The Plane To The Last 5 Seconds (I Literally Jumped) Of The Movie Was Fantastic. From Story Outline (Which Is Subtle And You Do Have To Pay Attention To The Clues) To Character Development This Movie Rolls Forward At A Great Pace And Keeps The Attention Of The Viewer (At Least It Kept Mine) .....Do Not Pass This Movie By, It Will Not Be The Best Movie You Have Ever Seen (Promise) But You Won't Regret Watching It (Promise) ........

Why the hell do they insist on making crap like this? There is very little in this movie that makes any sense and I'm ashamed of myself for having watched it.To give a brief overview, it's new years eve, plane takes off from New York heading to L.A, (I think that's right), just after midnight the plane gets brought down by some turbulence and they end up crashing in the middle of what turns out to be a secret army testing ground. This is another awful and incredibly cheap attempt at making one of these irrepressible found footage movies, the only problem with this is that it's devoid of anything even remotely interesting.Firstly there are so many things factually wrong with the film I can't think of where to start. Aside from that, it makes no sense at all to continually try and film all the goings on and shine a bright light around, considering that people are being killed off one by one by some unseen monster. The last thing anyone would really do is bother to keep hold of a handy-cam, which in actual fact never manages to catch any of the action, when people are dying around you. There's a ton of footage of the ground, survivors covered in blood that always seems fresh and lots and lots of arguing. There are about 2 quick flashes of monster and a hell of a lot of darkness. So in a nutshell, this whole movie is pointless. There is nothing good about this and it appears that the only thing that was real were the head injuries, as not one of the survivors showed any kind of common sense. Only right at the end do you get a good, yet fleeting look at the creature and it's very much like a young Tyrannosaur. For all of the injuries that these survivors all suffered, no one ever felt faint, lost consciousness, threw up or had any logical reaction to anything happening around them. I feel sorry for anyone else who watches this as there's no greater unnecessary pain than willingly sitting through this abomination.

Don't want to spoil a movie for anyone! The actors and actresses played great roles. There's complete closure at the end. Shot in first person video in present day. If you direct a movie that is supposed to be in present day, how about make the events believable and not silly. I didn't mind knowing what was after the people, but most of the events that unfold are outlandish. It's like a 10 year old directed the movie with the help of his dad! The first part of the movie takes FOREVER to unfold and once you're into the thick of things it is just plain disappointing. I usually stick with a movie no matter how bad it is to give it a fair shake. I did that with this one, but I came closer than ever to turning it off. You can watch it if you want, but just be prepared to lose interest, and be disappointed.

And no, not like the Three Stooges joke - Girl: "You'll like me after we get acquainted. I grow on people." Curly: "So do warts!" The announcement at the beginning that this was a found footage video made me consider turning it off, but I'm glad I watched the whole thing. Unlike some of the others who liked it, I thought that the flight portion was the slowest part. It was after the crash that the actors really started to shine. The first clue that this wasn't the standard disaster movie was the missing Annoying Hysterical Girl Who Keeps Asking Everyone To Explain What's Happening. She's usually the first to die, and with good reason. There was no Evil Angry Guy Who Steals And Hoards Resources, and no Annoying Blonde Bombshell Afraid To Break A Fingernail.Melanie Lyons did a great job as Laura the Air Marshal (and she is Australian, so there was no discrepancy with her accent). But really, all the actors worked hard in their roles, and the overall effect was impressive. Even if the camera wobbled a lot (and so did the plot), in the end it seemed more realistic than a movie that was too heavily scripted. In the end it was reminiscent of one of the original Twilight Zone episodes in black and white, where there were no special effects and maybe not even that much set dressing, just good solid acting and a wicked twist at the end.Was it my imagination, or did I see Green Beanie Guy pull kind of a pervert move while the passengers were boarding the plane?
