Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!

Better than most people think

Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

here comes another dog film with a great cast Cuba gooding Jr James Coburn this Disney film is funny as hell and make no bones about it the family will love this xmas film as Ted brooks finds out he has a father he didn't know he had in Alaska and with a inheritance to be got he goes there from Miami where his dental practice is but with 7 Siberian huskies and a border collie and discovery many roots in the wilderness as Ted life goes from a good life to a dogs life Ted vows to rise to the occasion and see how his inheritance totally out of his comfort zone in all the elements like a fish out of water with outrageous funny moments in this movie like sledding a car he faces challenges that he never dreamed of rescuing intimidating grumpy thunder jack from a blizzard ,thin ice with a artic challenge sled dog that's happens with Ted realizing what happens can he do the unthinkable and sled in time for a matter of life of death at 1hr35mins this film is not to long but everyone will enjoy

I am a little stumped at the low rating, this movie is not that bad. It is no masterpiece in any shape and form, and I have certainly seen better films, but I have also seen worse. Also it is entertaining enough and has cute moments too. I do agree the story is predictable and nothing special, the script has its weak spots and the pacing is uneven being a little too draggy in the middle. But there is a lot to redeem it, namely the amazing scenery captured by the lovely cinematography. The soundtrack was a nice touch too, the direction is good and the acting is actually above decent. Cuba Gooding Jnr is a likable enough lead and James Coburn the great actor he was matches him wonderfully. The really cute snow dogs steal the show though, it could be said they are the film. Overall, definitely not a bad movie, exceptional no, entertaining yes. 7/10 Bethany Cox

In 2002, Disney was about to become a very bad company, showing really dumb shows and movies and all that. But before the change, in the early part of the year, Disney let us see some good old stuff one last time before it all went away. The first of this was "Snow Dogs," which was released in early 2002. Some of the stars included Cuba Gooding Jr., who played Ted Brooks, the Miami dentist, and another star included Sisqo (who you might remember from "The Thong Song!!!!!")Ted Brooks, one day, received a summons to see his father in a small town in Alaska. At this point, he was shocked because he didn't know all his life until that moment that he was adopted. While there, he was asked to take care of several racing dogs, which would be used for the annual dog sledding race that takes place in Alaska each year. He also met an old man, who was a professional dog sledder; he was lost, so Ted Brooks finally learned this sport so that he can save the man just in the nick of time."Snow Dogs" was a terrific film. I have just watched this on Disney Channel a few days ago. This is a great movie, because soon then, Disney wouldn't be making classics like this anymore!!!!!10/10

This film could have been great. There are plenty of great family films out there that have multi-age appeal, so why did they write such a dud? Usually I would never buy a film unless I'd seen it first but we bought this movie on DVD because my daughter had seen it at the cinema and thought it great. I was hugely disappointed. As others have said, the dogs are beautiful and are well managed. The scenery is equally fantastic. But the pointless characters - why are they included? The terrible slapstick 'comedy', why is there so much? And the plot, you could have got away with the sheer predictability of it if the comedy had been better written - it can be done - why waste thousands of dollars making a film you would only want to see once?
