The setting is Carpathia. The year is 1851. When Elvira gets kicked out of an Inn for a slight monetary discrepancy, she is rescued by a local who takes her to stay at the castle in the hills high above the village. The fact that she happens to resemble the count's former "missing" wife opens a can of worms or two.

It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

Elvira's Haunted Hills is meant to be kinda cheesy, tongue-in-cheek, well, quite awful. Really I can't technically give it a fair review whilst taking it seriously so I'll rate it for what it is: a trashy, cheesy bit of fun.Without being too insulting, this is more of a Z-Movie than a B-Movie and never takes itself too seriously. There are loads of cheap laughs, mainly from jokes that are older than when the film is set but the amount of 'boob jokes' is a little too high.To be honest, there is a story somewhere here, the tried and tested mystery in a haunted house plot, but it just serves as filler time for the quickly delivered and often weak jokes. The 'dubbing' joke that starts at around the half-hour mark is quite a funny one but it goes on for a little too long.In truth, Elvira's Haunted Hills takes advantage of its audience's expectation of a deliberately bad movie a little too much, the abysmally bad acting and cheap one-liners frequently make you wonder what the filmmakers were thinking.Cringe-worthy aspects aside it's not such a bad movie for a night in with friends, so long as you're drinking something. The lighting and production values are higher than other movies of its budget and the few special effects used look more convincing than I expected. Although the musical interlude is random and full of cheap sexual innuendos it does bring entertainment back to he film for the first time in over twenty minutes. The entertaining scenes are far and few really and at around halfway through you're ready to watch something else.Having not seen the first Elvira movie: Elvira, Mistress of the Dark I can't really compare the two but if its anywhere near as painful as this I'd be thankful not to see it ever.http://ukmore.tk/

I was a big fan of the original Elvira film, but this one was just terrible. This time the lame jokes weren't even lame, they were pathetic.I can honestly say that Elvira's Haunted Hills hurt my brain.Stick with the original, this does nobody any good, not the actors, the film makers, the viewers, small furry animals running in a meadow somewhere...nobody.Also, it is dedicated to Vincent Price...who is CERTAIN to have rolled in his grave as a result. How about this, put the TV on, insert the DVD into the player and press play...then, pick up your car keys and go to the movies instead.

The BEST worst movie ever! This movie was fantastic! Anyone who can watch "horror" movies and have a good laugh at the corny stuff that makes it to screen today should see this movie. And best of all, it's not a "dirty" movie with lots of unnecessary nudity and bad language like some other horror movies or even spoofs of horror movies. No gag is too cliché; no pun is unworthy of being exploited; no opportunity for a cheap laugh passed up. But this isn't a kids' movie! Elvira is the Mistress of the Night for good reason, and she makes sure you know why...while keeping the rating a very tame PG13. But she still manages to make sure that everything is in good fun!

Sorry guys I'm french I hope you'll understand !!!Oh, come on, it isn't a so bad movie ! Some of the jokes made me laugh, it's better than a lousy Mel Brooks movie ! And it's a pretty nice way for 'Elvira' to show her love of Roger Corman's masterpieces. I'm glad I saw this film. I really think it's worth seeing it ! If you like horror movies from the 60's, especially Roger Corman/Mario Bava/Vincent Price's ones, you'll be delighted by the 'retro' touch of the film, and maybe you'll laugh sometimes, 'cause there are some good lines anyhow. This film is, in its first part, a sort of 'homage' to the slapstick cinema of the 30's, that's... huh... awful. There it is, Elvira slips because of the fat lady, there she goes, doing some strange cartoons noises when she fall to the ground : BOING!!KLING! That isn't really funny indeed, but it's like a Chuck Jones cartoon... Funny in an old-fashioned way.30 minutes after a lousy beginning, the movie becomes interesting, no more lousy slapstick gags, here come the good stuff, a titillating homage to Roger Corman's horror films (especially the 'Edgar Poe' series), Cassandra Peterson is prettier than ever (gosh, did I say that ?? she's older than my mum !!) (yummy anyhow) I think it's good she dares to show her love of Corman's work because nowadays it's a new fashion to say the world we love Hammer films... but without Corman in the 60's : no Hammer films in the 70's. Hail, King Corman !
