Load of rubbish!!
Fresh and Exciting
Excellent, Without a doubt!!
I think the movie is one of the better ones for its genre. The genre being Dragons in Medieval Times and maiden or something to that effect. The movie had a small cast but most did what they must. The hero was likable, the female lead was likable and the villain was just that; a villain. The movie probably had a low budget but was paced nicely and the actors tried and I think did an acceptable job.I would recommend this movie and give it an 8 out of 10. As long as you know what you are getting into and understand it isn't Shakespeare, you'll be enjoying a well done movie.
Good story line albeit a predictable. Acting was good. Directing was very good. Good cast, great music. Special effects were decent for not being a big-budget blockbuster. Overall the movie was very well executed. There is a "sequel" to this movie (Curse of the Dragon Slayer), although it has nothing to do with this movie. The "sequel" is fun to watch also, but very different movie altogether. Many big-budget movies of this genre seem to be overdone. Solid character development and good story line here, without the overdone feel. Casting was well done also. Fight scene choreography was OK, but not perfect. The only critique I'd offer is that sometimes the clothing and armor looked too new.Good movie. Recommended.
I know it's possible to make a good movie with a low budget--take "American Graffiti" for instance...which is why this movie is so disappointing. Forget the really poor SFX (which are really distracting). Where this film failed was in story and character development. I had a very hard time connecting with the main character, despite his tragic back story. If this movie had spent as much screen time developing the characters as it did on traveling and landscape shots, it would have done a lot better. I can live with low budgets and poor SFX--what I can't live with is shoddily-developed characters and dry, predictable plots. This movie's only saving grace is that it didn't resort to deus ex machina and that the main character earned the climax. Otherwise it would have not even been worth 1/10 stars.
Probably the worst movie I have ever seen.Acting: worse then elementary school drama. How do these people get actually hired as actors. The lead role guy Richard McWilliams had same expression for everything: sadness, excitement, fear, anger, confusion SAME FACE and body language, I mean wow...Action: Sword fights were a complete joke. Soccer players fake hurt and fall more realistically then these "actors"Scenes: Among many bad scenes.. the girl training this guy to become paladin by holding the horse by a rope and he was slowly riding around her in circles.. seriously..I want my 101min back..
