A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

I'm usually in two minds about the various Italian comedies made by comedy superstar Terence Hill. Half of me enjoys them and half of me thinks they're a bit too silly for their own good. However, I can safely say that SUPER SNOOPER is one of the very best I've seen from the star, a film which is consistently funny from beginning to end and which has a delightfully wacky plot.Hill appears in this film without his usual comic partner Bud Spencer, although Ernest Borgnine makes a wonderful foil for him. Hill's cop is exposed to nuclear dust which makes him immortal in a story which reminded me of the Bruce Willis film UNBREAKABLE. What follows is a tale packed with slapstick gags and even more surreal humour. Veteran director Sergio Corbucci certainly knows how to wring every drop of comedy from the premise and the many fight scenes are delightfully absurd. The balloon ending is great too, as are all of the larger than life stunts that Hill pulls off. I even enjoyed the cheesy, rubbery nature of the special effects. There's a lot to love here.

Nostalgia, its a beautiful thing but sometimes things are better left in the past. In this case I have mixed feelings but I still think this is worth watching and a little ahead of its time in the action comedy genre. As much as I remembered enjoying this movie I could only muster a small portion of that enjoyment re-watching it recently with my teenagers. My teenagers liked it, but didn't love it.However, I would still recommended watching it once, it was a fun 80's movie and I have a two more young children and when they hit their mid-late teens, I am sure I will see this again.

Well, this film may not have won any Oscars or been top of the line in continuity, but it is a good time. I remember this flick from my childhood watching HBO. Perhaps it is why I have an affinity for becoming a retiree in Miami one day to watch Rosie LaBouche in action. I digress, but this in a fun movie that can be enjoyed by the entire family. Officer Dave Speed is one of those people that you can't help but love due to his mild mannered nature. This trait directly contributes to the contrast between he and Sgt Willie Dunlop who is impatient, cynical and hot headed. After Dave has experienced bomb testing in a Native American dwelling in Creektown, he has the powers more or less of Superman, with his Kryptonite being the color red. It's dated, which makes it so fun to watch, and gives us great character names like Torpedo and Paradise. The music will be going through your head for days..."He's a Super trooper..." and your friends will think you are a bit nuts for humming it. I recommend this movie to simply veg-out and re-visit the early 80's with some friends and a few cocktails. Check out the red couch when the mashed potatoes are whipping and the seams on the big bubble gum as well. Just a few of my favorite goofs from this film!!

On one hand, I can understand why there are probably a lot of people who wouldn't like this movie. There's barely a plot here, for one thing. It takes forever for the central conflict to kick in, and when it does start, it goes very slowly. In fact, I think the movie could be edited down to fit a one hour time slot with commercials. Also, the characters are at times very stupid. I know this is supposed to be a comedy, but some viewers will be groaning at characters not using common sense. The movie also looks cheap, with simple special effects and other low budget production values.I'll admit all the above... yet at the same time, I found the movie to be surprisingly likable. It helps that they cast a couple of good leads. Hill and Borgnine both have a lot of charm and talent with comedy, and they shine and bring in a smile whenever they are on screen. There is also some amusing slapstick that only the Italians seem to know how to bring on film. And even the at times desperateness the filmmakers had with their low budget (such as showing stock footage of an atomic explosion - upside down!) will be funny to many viewers. If you like the other comic movies of Terence Hill, chances are you'll be charmed by this one despite its many shortcomings.
