There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

Gotta love the Cockneys! Almost giving up on the zombie genre, this film re-awakened the interest. From the dialogue to the story-line, this is non-stop action. The corniness adds to the excitement. It's been awhile since I seen this movie, but I can remember it left a good impression on the cinematography, story and dialogue. It's also utterly ridiculous. I'm not even British! Love it! This movie is inspiring me to make good movies only or stay home! Go Cockneys! In the first 5 minutes, you can tell if a movie is worth watching or not. Hope they make a sequel. Rofl.

"Cockneys vs. Zombies" (2012) began with such promise — with cool, funny characters; capable comedic actors; an attempt at a decent story; and dry, witty British dialogue. It looked like it could be a cool unauthorized companion film to "Shaun of the Dead" (2004).Sadly, then, it didn't pan out. The offbeat, character-driven banter gave way to a lot of slapstick that didn't really work for me. And problems with pacing and tension prevented this from being an effective horror film.I'd give this a 4 out of 10. Oh well.I have two questions after this film about British slang, with which I try to stay current. (What can I say? Some great horror movies come out of Britain. I love it when Frank tells the crow in "28 Days Later" to "get out of it.")1) When someone gets mad at another, they call him a … mop-head? Moppet? Muppet? They always say that word so fast.2) If somebody says something stupid, you call them a "plum?"

Only the Brits could come up with a title like Cockney's vs Zombies. Its down to earth, humour filled zombie killing fun with a British East End flavour. The story starts a little slowly and there are occasional lapses in the momentum but by and large, this film is very entertaining and well worth your time if you like the zombie genre. The acting is excellent with a very strong cast including some genuine British acting veterans. For those like me who grew up with British comedy The Good Life there is the last film appearance of wonderful actor Richard Briers (Tom Good) at his low profile, self effacing best. Eight out of ten from me.

Old people vs. Zombies, now that's a twist for ya. My favorite part of the movie was the beginning. It reminded me of Return of the living dead, which is one of my favorite movies ever. It's rare to get an origin story of where the Zombies come from.Ray Macguiren was a cool character. An old army vet a bit angry at the world who gets back in the battle by saving his fellow senior citizens from the zombie infestation. One cool concept was Mental Mickey, a deranged war vet who has a metal plate in his head so when he turns into a Zombie you can kill him like the rule book tells you to. Overall the movie was pretty funny and enjoyable. Glad I watched it. It's not Shawn of the Dead, but the Brits made another great Zombie flick.
