I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Danny Glover might say he's too old for that ... as much as he wants. Fact of the matter is he's still kicking it (or them). In this case he's helping a friend out ... and who wouldn't want to be friends with Danny Trejo? Or any character he portrays of course! Seriously though: If you have seen part one (not necessary for this one, even though it "continues" the story), you will know if this is a movie you will be able to enjoy or not.The added Glover flavor does not elevate the movie too much, though it's always fun hearing the two main actors going at each other. Still there quite a few flaws and you'll be aware that both of them are not really able to do what their characters are supposed to do ... but maybe you won't even care and just enjoy a movie that is like a blast from the past.

I am at a loss to place this film, I'm not even sure if I enjoyed it or not, or if I could recommend it.This is an action film with a ridiculous plot where some old guys have to go and beat up some other guys; but that really isn't important. This isn't a 'serious' action movie like Die Hard or Transporter but it isn't a full send up like Black Dynamite or Gravy Train. The production is strange. Normally when someone throws a grenade you get a slow motion sequence of the grenade in flight, followed by a close up of the villains face, then a few seconds of explosion. Here grenade leaves hand the next frame is bad guy blowing up.There is lots of action, the fight scenes are fast and furious but aren't particularly well choreographed. Glover and Trejo deliver their cheesy lines and punch people adequately enough.Don't take this too serious and you may enjoy. I did... I think.

I enjoyed first bad ass movie and after that i had some thirst for a second run of bad ass. i didn't think they are going to make a sequel since it didn't get much attention. but the creators were brave enough to take it for a another run. i respect their guts.and the movie bad asses (bad ass 2) started just the way i hoped it. Frank was not the useless old man he once was, but he is a respected member of the community doing something with his skills while helping youngsters to earn some respect in the world. only part i was disappointed was not having the characters Amber and Martin as Frank's lover and step son.and also partnering up with Danny Glover was a good idea.Bad ass teamed up with the grumpy old man. unrealistic, still funny, funny characters, good fight scenes, good car chase scene, average story, average acting, bad ass-ism all over the movie, love, hate, respect quite a good movie to lighten up your day.

You might not remember a little movie from the summer of 2012 called Bad Ass, but think back just a bit, and it will come to you. Danny Trejo was on the bus minding his own business after another long day slinging hot dogs on the street when these hoods started making trouble, and thought that he was just another old guy they could push around. You remember now, they were very wrong, and this all led to our BA taking on the gangs, and bringing justice to the streets. Well here we are in 2014, and just a few weeks ago I can remember thinking "I wonder what Danny Glover is up to?" then this nice little surprise drops into my lap. The action hero who was "gettin to old for this" 30 years ago is back to provide just the right level of support both physically, and comically. This is a decent movie that has been filmed well, and is built on a great foundation however fantastical it may be. I can recommend this to anyone, and feel good doing so. You have the fantastic new team up of Trejo, and Glover who are so good at being old, then just as good at swinging with the best of them a moment later. You have a decent story that is family friendly(if you have a pretty tough family), a bit of language and though there is killing it is not done in a flashy gory way, there is a lot of good hearted humour in there too, so give this piece a chance.
