All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

There are quite a few flaws in this movie, but all in all, it's really enjoyable. The characters are at least relatable and you can feel the impact when someone dies. It focused on showing more grit and chaos then a lot of movies like it. It doesn't feel over done with spectacle and explosions. I liked it. Fun to watch.

When enemies try to destroy us, they will always stand on the first line...

There are a lot of disparaging comments to read about this. I still think the opening beach landing sequence was one stupendous humdinger of a science fiction film achievement. And the rest of it is a competent hollywood war movie of the 'this just keeps gettin' better and better' combat-patrol formula. At this point, I'm starting to feel sorry for those who didn't read sci-fi when it was still young, when things written couldn't be made any form of tangible, to be able to appreciate seeing things that previously could only be seen in your head.

This is the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. And it been 7 years since I suffered through this atrocity in theatres and to this day I still ain't seen nothing worse than this garbage, and there have been a lot of awful movies this decade. The whole movie is stuff blowing up and muscle men cheering. It was like watching a video game play itself, except even your average video game has more plot than this. Nothing happened. Just stuff blowing up. You wanna watch stuff blow up, play some video games, so at least you can have the joy of making the stuff blow up.
