Reeker (2005)

To me, this movie is perfection.

Perfect cast and a good story

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

The 'rave reviews' on here are clearly from people who had a personal involvement in this film, because it's complete and utter garbage. The acting is terrible, the characters are terrible and entirely unlikable, it's horribly cheesy, and it's just all-together crap. IMDb seriously needs to figure out a way to start filtering out people who are lying to try and get their movie more watches. I figured since there were SO MANY good reviews, that I'd give it a shot, and I am about halfway through the movie, and LITERALLY created this account for the soul purpose of warning people about how awful this movie is.You might be holding out, thinking 'Well if there are so many good reviews, maybe it gets better!', which is how I got half way through the movie. But the reviews about how AMAZING it is for a low-budget movie are all bull and blatant lies. Seriously, avoid this god-awful movie.

1st of all, Let me start off my review by saying, Reeker most definitely REEKED!!! The whole time I watched this movie I was thinking of all the stuff I could or should be doing, washing clothes, doing the dishes, clipping my nails, etc, etc, etc.The nicest thing I can say about Reeker is that it was painfully BORING until the ending which was nicely done.I did NOT see that coming.Usually I'm good at figuring out the ending before it happens but not this time.It's a shame the entire movie sucked until then.I was fighting myself every minute, wondering if I should turn it off or not.I'm actually glad I didn't though, just because of the way it ended.If somebody asked me if they should see Reeker or not, I definitely would have to say...... NO.There are better things you could be doing with your life.Don't waste your time on this movie unless you want to torture yourself

If you haven't watched that film, then this wouldn't be a spoiler. if you have, then VOILA! The only difference is Dead End presented it in a creepier and more "devilish/occultic" manner and used a sleek looking harbinger. On the other hand reeker used a sci-fi/alien-looking antagonist. But unlike Dead End, Reeker will make you confused because of the too many elements presented in the film. It will make you think of who might be the real "killer" is, but everything will make sense in the end. Oh well, no more "compare and contrast" here, both movies presented the same idea in a different format so I guess it makes both enjoyable :)

i rented this movie last night along with some other horror movies, i love the horror genre, and i have seen it all, good movies, regular movies, and pretty bad ones. i must say that i didn't expect much from this one, but once it was over i can tell you i was very surprised, i really enjoy this movie, it keeps your attention at all times, there are good scary and jumping moments, and the end was very very good, the twist that the director gave the film was very remarkable, it reminded me a little bit to the final destination films. i believe this film deserves more than it has gotten so far. i will check the 2nd part and see if its as good as this one.
