I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

an excellent and thought provoking film set in a very realistic and enthralling vision of the future, discussing the toxicity of our civilization and results of an unsettling chemical war. this is a movie definitely for those who love creepy atmospheres and unsettling scenarios, whilst questioning the film's two main character's loyalties to each other and the government.

When I think about the issue of global pollution and how it affects the future we are headed towards, AIR sets the scene almost perfectly. Sure the movie chooses a bio hazard to set the stage for an apocalypse we all know we are headed towards but the movie had so much potential and so much it could have said and stood for, during the 90 minutes it was given to send it's message. Great cast, great plot and a great setting that left me feeling a little wanting at the end of it.The movie starts off wonderfully with a setting of a post apocalyptic world where the air is too polluted for mankind to survive and the government forced to implement a program to save the seed of human civilization by sending it's most brilliant minds to hyper sleep to re-cultivate and repopulate a world left barren by the actions and negligence of the old world. The plot surrounds two engineers isolated in an abandoned missile silo to preserve and protect the future of mankind as they fight isolation and insanity to decide whether to do their job and protect humanity or to think for themselves and suppress their most basic instinct- the instinct to survive. The casting was, in my opinion "perfect" to tell a story that could have been very compelling if it spent it's money on quality writers to keep the audience on the edge of their seats as they watch humanity overcome their darkness to reach a climax that reflected our potential as a species.Instead we get an ending that fizzles into nothingness and left me with a sense of frustration at the time you wasted seeing this long and drawn out picture which you could have missed altogether. What disappointed me even further was to see Norman Reedus play a character so similar to his popular Walking Dead character that I'm left wondering if he has the potential to play anything other than what we have grown to appreciate and love. Truth be told, I hate the idea of him being type-caste by Hollywood. Djimon Hounsou was also another example of this project perhaps being rushed or not thought out enough as he doesn't get to showcase his acting talent, leaving us a character that is hardly worth remembering. All in all, the movie fails to live up to the potential it's concept promises. Perhaps with a better script, a bigger cast or even longer screen time, it could have been a movie worthy of praise.

I have no idea what much of the dialogue spoken is, as the spoken sound is done so poorly. --I noticed one guy name 'Eric Paul' seems to have been responsible for this debacle, as he is listed for most of the spoken part of the movie tech, in three areas no less in the credits. --The premise of the movie is awesome, and it could of used better direction and better drama for the punch line, better scripted out, or maybe better script editing, but at the end of the day, if I can't understand what is being said most of the time, and its a 'thinker' movie versus eye candy, I have to give it a fail --==I like to suggest unique movies to others, but I cannot recommend this one -sorry

Can I say first off, that my wife came into the room when I was about 30 minutes into this and I managed to convince her for 10 minutes that it was the new episode of the Walking Dead - oh how we laughed when she discovered my joke.To save you all from watching this, I can sum the film up for you in a few sentences. The guy who plays Daryl out of off of The Walking Dead takes a break from the series for about 15 minutes, and goes over the road to another studio where someone has set up as a 'delapidated basement plant room' set. Also, the main guy out of off of Amistad and whatever else he's been in does the same. There, they play two scruffy air conditioning engineers who wake up six months out of cryogenic submersion (the Amistad guy managed to get through this without growing any facial hair whatsoever) and the two bicker and argue for 10 minutes before one locks the other out of the facility. Whislt outside, we get to see an alleged post apocalyptic city on the horizon (this 20 second scene was what most of the films budget went into so bear with me and make the most of that mental image if you would) The guy out of off of Amistad then tries to get back inside only to be shot in the chest by Daryl out of off of The Walking Dead but makes a frankly completely implauasble recovery and manages to get rid of poor Daryl. The end.If you want to watch this utter pile of pigs number twos, please go ahead and tell me all the action, necessary dialogue, special effects, plot holes and plot developments I may have missed, but I watched it all the way through without interruption, and wrote this immediately after. That's the film folks. It's been done before with almost identical formats, with other cheapo TV actors who may have also thought it would be a good idea not to bother getting a cut and blowdry for a movie this big as The Walking Dead image is more important.I strongly recommend to anyone reading this who hasn't seen the film but doesn't believe me to go ahead and take the plunge. I guarantee you'll be wanting those 90 minutes of your life back. I know I do.3 out of 10,and THATS being generous. Thanks for calling.
