it is finally so absorbing because it plays like a lyrical road odyssey that’s also a detective story.
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
I don't rate movies but I specifically searched for this movie on imdb and rated it 1. I like Sanjay Dutt's acting but the biopic was clearly a fiction. Ranbir Kapoor has never really impressed me in any of the movies and the fact remains what he is a overrated actor or so his PR team likes to show to the world. This is shameful that we make movies on a convict and no movies made on the war heroes of India or the brave Policemen who died in the 26/11 blasts.
While Ranbeer gave one of best performance as actor in this movie, the whole movie just seems to be created to cover up crimes of sanjay dutt, tried to white list criminal's image by playing with people's emotion by showing respect towards father and mother in dramatic way, not at all recommended.
Once again Ranbir and Hirani have proved that they are great actor and director respectively. This movie will make you laugh at a moment and then make you cry at a moment. With awesome comedy, drama, emotional, romance, adventure, Betrayal, Biopic, Crime this movie is the best of Ranbir Kapoor's career. This movie is lifetime wathwatch but not watchable with your family.
The problem with this one is that it's a biopic and it's not an accurate biopic. It paints Sanjay Dutt white. But if you leave that aside it's engaging throughout. Performances in this movie is exceptional. Ranbir is definitely the best actor of his generation.
