Beautiful, moving film.
A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
There are so many terrible reviews of this movie on IMDB that I wonder why I watched it in the first place. But I was pleasantly surprised. This movie is not a great work of cinematic art, but it is not the horrible waste of time that so many people on here say it is.I found it entertaining, visually pleasing, and funny in a few parts. The acting was pretty good, the effects were OK, and while it has quite a few cliche moments, all in all I enjoyed watching it. It is not the B movie that people are saying it is.Give it a watch...just don't expect anything deep. Instead, expect an hour and a half of fun entertainment.
I really love the movie. The fact is that it takes time to discover anything about the plot not a problem for me, but it was clear to many. If you can just keep asking questions until the end of the movie then this is for you. The plot is really engaging and unique. For me, it was a great movie and it did a perfect job of blowing up curious. Easily one of my favorite movies of all time, and the best movies of recent years!
Well after watching The Recall I wished I liked it better because that's the kind of stories I normally do like. Aliens or alien invasions, it's always fun to watch. But with The Recall I can't say I'm truly satisfied. It just doesn't have enough good things going on. The aliens are creepy and okay though. It's just the acting that is not optimal. The teenagers are not great actors and it's not with Wesley Snipes that you're going to make the movie better. Wesley Snipes is just an average actor and in this movie it shows. The special effects and CGI's were sometimes good but also sometimes mediocre. The story didn't interest me enough to fufill my needs. Too bad because it had potential to be a better movie. But to watch once it's okay I guess.
I am a creepy horror alien film buff. I would have paid to see this movie in a theater as the effects would have looked great on a big screen. If you want entertainment, this is it. It is different, I usually can predict a film, couldn't on this one. It draws you in, the actors are believable and the director did a great job. If you want entertainment, a bit of a suspense and a lot to talk about after watching, this is the movie.
