It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

The worst animation work I've seen. Empty scenes, bad movements, static cameras. How the hell can anyone say that this was a good movie?the only thing in this movie that can be highlighted as good is the script

The live-action movie has its moments but suffered from plotting and pacing issues. "Assault on Arkham" was a more solid flick, but also suffered from plot holes and trying too hard to be dark and edgy. This is the first Suicide Squad movie that manages to to tell a consistently enjoyable story. The movie is rather "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"--esque as it involves Deadshot and the rest of the Suicide Squad locked in a race between two other group of villains for a particular item. I won't spoil what it is, but it's far more interesting than say wealth or a weapon. What with all these villains, there's a lot of good fight sequences and interesting character interaction. The plot also does a good job of balancing humor, drama, and action. The one thing that bugs me about this film is that Deadshot's motivation is seeing his daughter again, which is the exact same thing they did for the other two films. Don't get me wrong, the film still does a good job of humanizing Deadshot with this, but there are other ways.

Raw. Just totally raw and totally realistic portrayal of the Rogues Gallery characters who finally get to come alive. I wasn't expecting to see this level of mature content on a DC or Marvel animated movie. Although Justice League Dark at the edges. Its awesome to see DC allow, Burnett & Liu to portray these characters the way they are supposed to be and not some PG rated, watered down version of themselves to please the masses. Although, I love what has been put out so far, but this movie stands out as a no-holds-barred mature Vertigo level content. Liu handles Burnett's writing with joyous humor and an artistic license that you are blown even before the credits role. Both figuratively and visually by the direction of the story. I am so glad I decided to watch this. It reminded me of Deadpool and Logan. Taking two dimensional characters and breathing life into them in this fashion got my heart pumping. More of this and less of the PG stuff. I am glad that DC allowed this level of maturity for an animated feature. Maybe they realized there are enough PG content out there to please the new viewers and that decade long time fans like me, want some maturity in our animated stories too. Hell, manga has been doing it for decades. Now it seems that American comics is catching up, finally. All, I want to say is more of this please, DC. One more thing, Harley has some of the best lines, which made up for her not having that mush to do in the movie. Maybe we need a similar mature story with Harley and Ivy as the lead to balance this out.Thank you, Sam and Alan. You made a fan of 28yrs and a 44yrs old very happy.

The deadly, demented, and dangerous, and dysfunctional Task Force X has returned in "Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay". The new animated film from Warner Bros Home Entertainment features the voice talents of Christian Slater, Vanessa Williams, Greg Grunberg, Tara Strong, and many others in an adult themed story which should delight fans of the series who thought the PG-13 approach of the live action film did not do the series the proper treatment they believed was due.The worst of the worst have been recruited to recover a mysterious artifact and thanks to the explosives implanted in their heads; their control and compliance is expected.Deadshoot, Harley Quinn, Copperhead, Captain Boomerang, Killer Frost, and others set out to complete their mission despite their usual issues with authority, the world, and each other. Naturally they are not unopposed as Captain Zoom, Banshee, and others stand in their way.As the team fights others and amongst themselves, the body count piles up as this is not a kid's movie and the blood and bullets fly frequently. The animation and voice acting is first rate as you would expect from Warner Bros and the large cast works very well bringing their characters to life and infusing them with a complexity which is deeply engaging. In another triumph for the studio, the movie delivers all that fans expect and more and let us hopes we will be seeing Task Force X again in the very near future.4 stars out of 5
