Sometimes mentioned as a modern Bad Taste."During a time in the near future, Gothenburg has been invaded by zombies. The police are powerless and a team of German zombie hunters are called in to solve the problem and clean up the city and find out what is causing the zombe epidemic. On their way through the streets of Gothenburg, they run into several obstacles. For example, they come across an Italian assassin and some Swedish reporters on the wrong side of the barricades." – IMDB

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

The short version:How do you make a movie about three German zombiehunters in Gothemburg and manage to not make it entertaining?!The long version:I picked this film up on darkdisc.com for 99 crowns( like 10 bucks) and gave it a watch last night. It's a sort of gory zombie/exploitation film.We follow a bunch of retarded Germans with peculiar hair-cuts who makes their living killing zombies. They go to Gothemburg to wipe out 150 zombies. I don't see how the Gothemburg police could not handle 150 zombies. I live in Stockholm, but I am 100% sure the police of Gothemburg could handle 150 zombies. If it were like a 150 000 zombies it could work, but now it's not. There is also a Italian psychopathic hit-man who is captured av tortured by Merlin's evil twin.A annoying reporter follows them and abuses her cameraman. There is also a necrophiliac who has a date with a corpse, but this has nothing to do with the plot. I don't mind people putting small and funny scenes in their movies that douse not really have anything to do with the plot, but this was way to random. The beginning is pretty good for being such a low budget film with good tempo, but then the zombie-killers arrive in Gothemburg it loses it's good paste. Half of the film is zombies getting shot by the zombie-hunters.For the most it's ugly looking computer blood, but at times we have some cool real blood coming out of the zombies. The make--up effects are good for the most for the budget being so low, but there are 2-3 zombies that look horrible. There is ripped of skin and eyes being eaten. There is also nudity. There is a scene were a girl rubs her naked breasts and a sex scene with full frontal nudity involving the two ugliest people I have ever seen in my entire life. Why any one wanted to go naked in this film is a mystery to me.The acting is horrible. Aldo Cunei actually gives a solid performance, but he has way to little screen time. The reporter is annoying and adds nothing to the film. The Germans are OK, they are funny at times but also pretty boring at times. I liked their boss Hans, but the other members had little personality. The villain is just weird.

First of all I must tell you that this is a low budget film and must be judged as one and not compared with Hollywood "way to much money to handle" mainstream productions. Martin Brisshäll, Nick Holmquist and Christian van Caine acts as a German task force that's called to Gothenburg to take care about a "small zombie problem" caused by poisoned milk. 3 Germans against 150 zombies. The first murder takes place before the starting role list has come to an end and that to the wonderfully aggressive tunes of Dark Funeral - Thus I have spoken. This pretty much sets the standards for this film. Aggressive music and lots of blood and gore. What we see here is not perfection but what this film lacks in perfection it gains in the air of total fun you really feel coming out from creating this film. I haven't felt like this for any low budget films since the mighty Bad taste. I really hope this film gains the same amount of success as Bad taste without Jonas Wolcher (director) losing his mind and start directing King Kong II. More GGH (Gothenburg Gore Horror) to the people !!!!

this movie is truly awful, the director has no artistic ambition what so ever...his idea of a zombie movie would have been discarded even by the Italians in the early 80's. i had the misfortune to meet the director and spend a little time with him during a film festival and watch him make the movie, his "assistant" actually had to direct a couple of scenes because the director was "busy" applying make up to a blonde girl....his attitude towards the other film makers at the festival was really disgusting to watch because Wolcher really thinks he is good at his craft, which he's not...even Uwe Boll is a more competent director take my advise spend your money on something else, this movie sucks and swallows!!!

This is a low budget project... and it shows. I know that zombie movies are suppose to be bad, and that is what I like about them. But this movie isn't bad in a good way, it's bad in a really really stinky bad way. The actors performances is pretty good. It's at least as good as can be expected in a low budget film. The script is OK, I mean, it's a zombie movie. What has destroyed this movie is the camera-work and the post-production. I don't know if the decision was made while filming, or in post-production, but all action scenes is filmed in extreme close-up... and I mean ALL scenes. There are no scenes that let you get a feel of the surroundings. You never get to see where the zombies are in relation to the living. A good example is one of the main cast who is some sort of martial arts-fighter. You get to see him hitting something outside the screen, but you never get to see what. You don't even get to see a cut of a zombie falling to the ground or something like that. Another example is a guy with a gun standing by a house shooting. Next you see zombies getting shot in a park. You never see if the park is across the street or if this shooter actually is pinning zombies in a park three blocks down. I can guess it's across the street, but I never get to see it or get the feeling of it. The film contains grate music, but of course the post-production has screwed that up too. To tell you the truth there are so many post-production "mistakes" that were made that it will take forever to list them all. My advise, spend your money on something better.
