Premutos is the first of the fallen Angels, even before Lucifer. His Goal is to rule the world, the living and the dead. His son should pave the way for him and appears arbitrary throughout human history and is then recognized as some kind of monster. In the present time, a young man living in Germany begins to suffer from visionary flashbacks - of the lives he lived in the past as Premutos' son! He remembers how he appeared in the middle age, when mankind suffered from pestilence and during WWII in Russia. On his (earthly) father's birthday, a case containing some strange old book and a yellow potion is found in their garden, which was hidden by some peasant in 1943, who experimented with witchery in order to re-animate his deceased wife. Whe the young man gets in touch with the book and some of the yellow potion, he mutates into a monster and awakens an army of zombies, ready to bring back the fallen Angel Premutos and to disturb the little birthday party

This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

Premutos is Olaf Ittenbach's infamous gorefest that is often compared to Brain Dead because of its final splatter orgy. We follow the story of a German small town boy Matthias who gets hold of the book of the fallen angel Premutos. The book has been passed protected by witches and black magicians over the centuries, with lots of flashbacks set in the Second World War or the Dark Ages. Matthias accidentally unleashes hell on earth and a horde of zombies comes to haunt his family, which defends itself in any means possible, including swords, axes, chainsaws and lots and lots of guns.Premutos was a lot of of fun, but its gore factor does not quite compare to Brain Dead. The make-up effects Brain Dead are a bit more ingenious and over-the-top. Here, there's just a lot of shooting. Ittenbach definitely nails the head explosion effect, which looks really really good—but unfortunately that's how almost every zombie dies. Compared to Brain Dead, this feels a bit more like a young boy's shoot-em up fantasy.I loved the "small town" German feel that pervades the movie. There's a lot of intentionally (and unintentionally) funny acting here, as well as some highly stereotypical characters. What I really like about this film, and many other low- budget movies like it, is that you get the feeling that the crew had fun producing the movie.Premutos is definitely worth a watch for fans of low-budget gore and splatter.

I am tired of those comments saying "this can't be gorier than Braindead, because there are cheap effects !" and everyone tagging Braindead as the "Goriest film ever made", in my opinion the "Goriest film ever made" must have gore from the beginning to the end and seriously do you care about "cheap special effects" ? if you want a movie with better Special effects, go watch a lame Hollywood flick, dumb ass !The plot is creative and interesting: Mathias has some hallucinations about Premutos, the first fallen angel. Mathia's fathers, Walter (the coolest character of the whole movie !), discovers a case containing some books and potions. During Walter's birthday party, Mathias become Premutos and his army of zombies is rising !Olaff Ittenbach did an awesome job, i don't care about your stupid opinion, the gore was awesome, the flashback scenes where well made, the character "Walter" was awesome, bottom line: THIS IS GORIER AND BETTER THAN BRAINDEAD !

MINOR MINOR Spoilers....I mean MINOR! A question that pops into your mind while watching this movie is: "Would I kill myself if I had my balls bitten off by a zombie?" You find out that answer and many more brain busters while watching this gore fest.Movie's about a dude named Mathias (who is incredibly poor at soccer) who has visions about the first God named Premutos. These dreams are real weird and actually I'm having a hard time remembering exactly what this is really about. You most likely will too. All I know is that Premutos through Mathias returns to Earth to reclaim his world. Zombies appear through some type of means and all hell breaks loose. The death count in this movie is ridiculously high. You actually receive a total at the end of the movie which is a dare I hope someone else takes on.The movie is full of gore and blood. There are some gaps between the gore, some momentary lags and some unnecessary scenes(dinner scene)....but when the violence appears it doesn't let up. The ending especially. There are people that find the dubbing to be atrocious. It is bad. It seems the people in control of the dubbing wrote their own script for the movie. There's added one liners everywhere in this movie. BUT if you have a silly sense of humor you WILL enjoy some of them. There were times in this movie I busted out laughing due to the lack of expectation of some seriously silly writing. ie: Girl In Stands: "You'd look better without the shorts!" Mathias: "Suck my d!ck b!tch!" You'd expect that to be a compliment...nope...and it turned out hilarious. As I said, the dubbing is poorly done, but the writing is sometimes pretty damn funny.Premutos is definitely worthy of comparison to Braindead/Dead Alive. It definitely has a higher body count, but when it comes down to amount of blood/gore...Braindead is still champ. Don't let that sway you, the movie is FULL of great gory action. It's definitely not executed as well as Braindead, but it gets the job done. For fans of gore, you will definitely not be disappointed.

It took me two years to finally find this movie and when I did I bought it right away. Then never seeing it before I expected something really bloody and gory...man did I get a surprise. Premutos is beyond gory and rates up there with Peter Jackson's ~ "Braindead", which one is gorier?...well that's a toss up. If I can remember correctly it's about a boy who leads a normal life but whenever a great amount of pain is inflicted on him he has flashbacks of years and years ago. Basically he is Premutos the fallen angel. And when he gets hurt he can see the past of what he went through in a different body. He sees his past from many different times, like the second world war, and even when Jesus Christ got crucified including that he was one of Jesus's followers that got crucifies along with him. I know this is kind of hard to understand the way I am typing this but I don't remember every detail. Finally later on in the film he turns in to the demon like creature along with his army of zombies! Yes this has zombies and some great dark comedy. Examples...a homeless man drinks this yellowish fluid and his head goes "POP"! A priest is found masterbating in the church but the zombies teach him a lesson. A round flying booger lands in a annoying woman's mouth and shuts her up for five seconds but she's so drunk she keeps on laughing. But one of the main things about this movie is the last half hour, talk about a slaughterhouse! This has everything you want in a movie ~ guns, knives, chainsaw's, bombs, (Even a air compressor), and many other things including the biggest weapon of them all...a tank! Everything in this movie will blow your mind but there was just one small problem. It was in German and no subtitles, and you will not understand anything unless you can understand or speak German.Where in the hell is Anchor Bay when you need them! I would have to say everyone should see this movie, but yet not everyone should see this movie. If your a gore hound then find this classic German flick. 9 / 10 Stars Recommendations:"The Burning Moon" "Traces of Death 2" "Neckromanic"
