I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.
The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
This has been released as a movie, but Dead Set was a three-part TV show when it launched in England in 2008. This is a brilliant take on the zombie trope- setting it in the fictional world of reality Television big brother. The contestants are unaware that a mayhem has broken loose in the outside world and one by one they fall prey- which is fun to watch. The concept of the characters being unaware of an outbreak and being taken out by surprise is something not seen before. I suggest you give this one a chance if you like zombies. This is quite different than anything out there.
What a great zombie movie (actually a 5 part series). Pros: gorecharacters you care aboutgreat overall ideatensiongood jump scaresCons: fast zombies, but hey, they work herethe Patrick character is way over the top. I get that's what they were going for but I would have shot the bastard.
Was recommended this series after watching Black Mirror and I think that affected how I experienced it. Black Mirror is leagues ahead of this show but damn its actually a really good series with a very to the point mediation on the zombie like nature of humans and the consumption of pop media in the UK. I felt like there could've been more commentary as the story developed but for the length it does it's job as a zombie series well. Definitely rather watch this rather than Walking Dead. Character development can be a bit blunt with inexplicably difficult character but it leads to a cathartic conclusion.
This show is awesomely brilliant! It can be watched as a typical zombie horror flick due to actors' deadpan delivery and directing style, but the more you pay attention to the dialogue the more of a comedy it becomes. The script by Charlie Brooker is witty and full of biting cynical social commentary. It's also a much better entry into the zombie genre than anything since the original REC. I could be wrong about this next point, but I believe Joplin to be Brooker's doppleganger. Plus if you watch Charlie Brooker's screenwipe you can see some of the characters Brooker parodies in this show. Three out of two thumbs up!
