Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Shortly after watching this incredible movie I feel that it's proper to say that others will enjoy watching it too. There can be nothing more suitable for movie watchers these days like the Pixies movie. It has lots of charm and keeps you entertained even if you're not the type that likes animated comedies. First of all the use of humor is at its best, and it's so funny to see the character of Joe Beck being unlucky and his life being ruined by some pixies on a daily basis. What is so special about this movie is that it doesn't have any toilet humor like the other comedies that people have seen. After a while stuff like that becomes boring, and this movie has a better type of humor in the form of pranks. I also like the message that the movie sends, which is that vengeance is never good and that matters should always be solved diplomatically. Although there are some people in the audience who dislike the fact that the concepts of revenge and war are introduced into a cartoon-like movie for kids, this is not a big deal for the vast majority whatsoever. It is but another great element of the film because it appeals to everybody of all ages, and best of all to the kids.

Sean Patrick O 'Reilly, who stars as the voice-over for the character of Joe Beck, brings a comic-inspired and interesting film to the big screen. Without giving away any spoilers all that can be said is that the Pixie movie will get promising results at the box office. The reason for this is the plot is captivating and it really pulls the audience in. The great background music was a light and pleasant contrast compared to the loud and obnoxious soundtracks people see in some action movies in the modern age. The music was a perfect choice for the movie, because it kept the story flowing, and didn't serve to merely distract viewers like the other ones we've seen. Technically the movie is brilliant due to the fact that the graphics are high quality and top notch. Sound and voice overs of all the other cast members are excellent and perfect. Pixie the movie tells the story of an auto mechanic who learns his lesson to respect the pixie's environment. The action was just the right amount with fantasy violence and nothing more. It is marvelous for people of all ages to watch, because it has emotional twists that get people drawn into the story.

I don't have a problem with low-budget movies, per-se. I have watched a lot of low budget stuff in my lifetime that has been passably entertaining. But this movie is so poorly done that I'm surprised they actually got real celebrities (Paxton and Plummer) to sign on. We only rented this because the movie we really wanted was unavailable. Plot: This is about a vindictive pixie who enlists his followers to completely destroy the life of a human for the completely egregious and unforgivable crime of...throwing a bag of trash in the river. I get the environmental subtext, but it's pretty flimsy when the pixies bully someone relentlessly. At the end, there's some reconciliation where the pixies realize they've been awful and the human is kind of like "sorry about that thing I did." But the bulk of the film is cheap physical humor. "He gets hit between the legs. hahaha." ugh. Execution: The low- quality animation is rivaled only by the poor sound quality and stale voice-acting. The sound doesn't sync up right most of the time. The actors sound the way I do when I'm tired and my kid asks me to read one more book and I say okay, but I'm just trying to get through it. I know some people said they loved this, so you know. It's subjective I guess. But if you read all of the reviews and still decide to watch this, remember that some of us tried.

I don't know where to begin, lets just start off by saying the movie is awful, low budget (like SUPER LOW BUDGET), but kids will enjoy it because the main character gets hurt a lot (much like looney toons style comedy). The Dialog, was very meek and boring, characters just seems to randomly emotionlessly talk to each other and blank stare with frequent pauses between sentences that ruined the flow of any conversation. This is a movie about vengeance, not a particularly good story to tell kids. Joe the main character is cursed by Pixies because he missed garbage day and decided to throw his garbage into a river. He literally missed the garbage truck by about 3 seconds, and the truck didn't stop to pick up garbage on any of the other dozen neighboring houses, it literally just stops at Joe's house, sees there's no garbage, and drives off and around the block randomly. Kay.So Joe throws his garbage into a river and squashes the Pixie kings son, and the pixie king, completely emotionlessly tells a story while his son may or may not die about how pixies will curse people who do them wrong. Kay.So a these pixes now do stuff like drop books on him or mess with his household appliances, make him slip and fall, etc. but none of it really makes any sense. Like for example, they set off a belt sander at his work. Its not plugged in or anything, you can see the cord dangle along as it races on the floor. It somehow wraps around Joe's leg and drags him all around his shop, where he crashes into things and tires somehow fall on his head, and the shop explodes, but hes okay. There's a part in the story where he captures a pixie, and puts a glass over top of him to trap him and leaves him there for the day. No matter what this pixie does, he cant move the glass, neither can his friends, because apparently it weights a million pounds to them. Not 20 minutes prior to this scene, we witness two pixies pick up a freaking manhole cover and move it in half a second so Joe falls down it. Kay.Its just awfully written, awfully scripted and animated, everything is just so bland and random, any parent watching it with their kids will be shaking their head at it.The kids however, if they're like 4 or 5, will enjoy it, because they think its hilarious when Joe gets hurt, which is kind of the wrong message to be sending here.I don't know how this movie is rated 6/10. There's nothing here but crap.
