My Bloody Valentine (2009)

Good movie but grossly overrated

A lot more amusing than I thought it would be.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

So I was very hesitant to watch this movie because going into this movie I was expecting it so be like the crappy remake of Black Christmas but this movie was great, the CGI blood was not great in fact it's really obvious that it's not really there but it was 2009 what do you expect? The kills were awesome, the plot is easy to follow, and the killer doesn't end up being who you will expect it to be if you've seen the original.

I saw this at the theater back in 2009,but I recently saw it again in Blu-ray 3d.This was actually shot in Native 3D and inside a coal miners tunnel.It was difficult for the crew to set the lighting and they couldn't move any of the wall around to make bigger space and the actor had to be careful about the low ceiling.The production used a lot of life size dolls and doll parts for the gory affect of the Victim of the coal mining murder.There was on gory sequence ,where the alleged coal miner murder pick axes the jaw of Tom Atkins,portraying a retired sheriff,and pulls it clean out .This was done by a fake head with a removable jaw.The writer of this film played a small part as a truck driver who just dumped his girl friend is surprised by a pick on his head by the coal mining murder.This was done with a fake head with a life size doll body.This movie has a soap opera tale.Tom played by Jensen Ackles is in love with Sarah,played by Jaime King,but, so is Axel Palmer.The very sick coal miner breaks from the mental hospital chopping everyone up in sight with his mining pick.This coal miner show up the old shaft ,where the teenagers show up for fun and he chops everyone there ,except for Sarah.Tom and Axel.They survived it .The sheriff kills the coal miner murderer.Tom leaves the town.Sarah feels she has no choice ,but, to marry Axel.Tom comes back to attempted to sell his father coal mining company,opposed by Ben Foley ,portrayed by Kevin Tighe.This Time Axel is the sheriff and is having an affair with Irene,played by Betsy Sue,who work with Sarah at the grocery store.When Ben comes back all of a sudden the murders start .everyone thinks that the original coal minor murdered never got killed,but, it's some one else who is doing it.Wonder who?Was originally on red ,blue3d DVD and Blu-ray.Later it was put on Polaroid Blu-Ray.Entertaining.12/2817

Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. Horrible. So many flaws, and I have so little desire to think about this movie enough to list them all. Here are my top 4 reasons for why I wanted my money back. 1. The 3-D aspect is completely wasted. There's no creativity at all. Be prepared to have guns pointed at you and to have pieces of eyeballs fly towards the screen. That's about it.2. Even the jump moments are repetitive. Each and every time, the characters are going to look over in one direction, and then....BAM! There's the killer. Every single time. Count on it.3. These are the absolute stupidest characters to ever be seen on screen. They would make a drunk 15-year-old seem like a genius in comparison.4. The "twist" ending. Ugh. Ugh.Do us all a favor, and don't give these "people" any more money. Who knows what kind of poo they will make next time, if they get the opportunity

I've been looking for the worst the worst of horror movies for over a year. At last count it was at 97 shitty horror movies and this was number 98.This takes the cake What the f*ck.There was no motivation for the killings. No buildup. I don't even remember one single name of the characters. No story. Embarrassing use of the 3D feature. Just why.I was drunk through the entire screening and it still made me regret watching it. Please. Don't watch it.
