Nurse 3D revives the camp genre that is so often misunderstood, as evidenced by the negative reviews we see here. Some people just don't get it. They've written their reviews as if they expected to see a movie of high drama, pathos and some kind of serious message. That isn't this movie! On the other hand despite lots of nudity, some of it *very* graphic, Nurse 3D is hardly a sexy movie. It's a camp thriller and gore-fest that runs at a fast pace, unabashedly, self-consciously and with glee to a frantically gory ending with an intelligent twist in the closing scene. I'd say it lives up to its creators' aims admirably.

Nurse (2013)* 1/2 (out of 4)Nurse Abby Russell (Paz de la Huerta) loves her job taking care of the sick and helpless but at night she likes to lure married men into her deadly trap. You see, this nurse loves to kill married men who cheat on their wives. Back at the hospital she begins training a new nurse (Katrina Bowden) and soon a deadly attraction begins.NURSE tries very hard to be a throwback to the 1970s grindhouse pictures but it falls well short on a number of levels. Well, to be honest, the film actually plays very much like a grindhouse film from the 70s because this here is pretty bad, has a very thin plot and makes up for that by offering up a lot of nudity and gore. It seems people think if they make a movie campy that they're doing it right but in my opinion campy films, that actually work, were done by people trying to make a serious movie but failed and the end result turned into camp. The problem with NURSE is that it's way too goofy to be taken serious as a horror movie and the goofy moments just aren't all that funny in order for it to work as a spoof. The problem with NURSE is that the story is downright stupid and never really makes too much sense. I mean, she kills married men for a reason, which I get but the screenplay then gets all caught up in this deadly relationship with the other nurse. All of this just leads to a bunch of dumb scenes that really don't add up to much. Another problem is that the humor just isn't all that funny and it really comes across as silly and stupid and especially the stuff with Niecy Nash. Both de la Huerta and Bowden don't add much performance wise but I thought de la Huerta was at least charming in her own ways. Judd Nelson also appears briefly and we get some nice supporting performances but these certainly don't save the movie. NURSE features quite a bit of nudity but it's pretty much topped by the non-nudity of Bowden appearing in full shower shots where she's wearing panties or shorts....in the shower? Either way, NURSE tries hard but falls well short of being a good movie.

Abby Russell is a nurse of the All Saints Memorial Hospital and a serial-killer of unfaithful husbands after hours. When newly qualified nurse Danni is hired to work in the hospital, Abby is instantly drawn to Danni, but she has a boyfriend and does not suspect the intentions of her friend. Abby believes that if she kills Danni's stepfather, Dr. Larry Cook, she will get to live with her. But soon Danni suspects that Abby has murdered her stepfather and moves away from her. When the new HR manager arrives at the hospital, she is amazed at the resemblance of Abby with a woman named Sarah Price. Danni investigates Sarah and discloses dark secrets from the past of Abby.....Well this film clears the question that all feminists have been asking since the sixties, yes, all men are abhorrent, insufferable pieces of work......even in flashbacks. And the ones who are not completely disregarding women as pleasure things, are simply too idiotic for there own good. This complete waste of a film depicts almost every make character as some sort of sexual predator, and only one wooden actress can save the day. You can that the film has gone for the feel of eighties exploitation movies like Angel, Savage Streets, and Ms. 45, but whereas those films had a shocking, almost unwatchable narrative in places, this thinks that the added dimension and extra gore will make up for its shortcomings..........it only enhances them.So by day, the titular character stalks her work colleagues, who wear the most ridiculous nurses uniforms I've ever seen, and by night, goes out of her way to right the wrongs of adulterous men. It's terrible in every sense, acting is woeful, Nelson, Donovan, and Turner should be ashamed of themselves, and it's truly offensive to almost every culture, sexuality, or anything with a beating heart to be honest.Terrible, offensive poison.

I'll start off by saying that for a B movie, (seems like a B movie, quite surprised it was in cinemas!) this film had a decent budget and mostly all good actors, except for the main actress Paz De Le Heurta who's acting is just, well.....odd.The dialogue and her acting are just ludicrous but as a result I found the movie to be quite funny (possibly unintentionally. I couldn't tell)You could actually play a drinking game with this movie, taking a drink any time there is a butt shot or some nudity in this film, which there is tons of, its actually ridiculous. The main actress is nude probably 50% of the film so you'd be pretty drunk by the end!Overall: The whole thing is ridiculous, but its worth one watch.. I've seen far worse....Recommendation: Watch Enter The Void, by Gaspar Noe, Paz is better in that but the film is also a work of genius.
