A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

this film was sort of film that you find difficult to describe as a good or a bad film, it was an okay film with both okay story and action scenes, But my biggest problem with this film was the story line which is the same story line in every film or TV episode the MR. Freeze starring in it . And i kept asking myself the whole time while watching it why producers decided to made it even it was released a year after ( Batman & Robin) which was made exactly a year before this one ( maybe the wasn't happy about because it was a big flop). Anyway i only recommend this film if you're a Batman fan, it's a fine film with fine action scenes but please don't except to watch a great film such as Batman Make of the phantasm.

This direct to video animated Batman movie stars the voice talents of Kevin Conroy as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Michael Ansara as Mr.Freeze/Dr. Victor Fries, and Loren Lester as Robin/Dick Grayson. This is another movie from my childhood that I used to watch a lot on VHS, and still enjoy watching it to this day. Some of the things I love about this movie are first off, the animation and character designs. This is actually the last animated Batman movie to feature the original character designs from the animated series, which are my favorite designs of the Batman characters in animated form. They then changed the characters designs for the New Batman Adventures series, which I do like some of the new designs, but nothing beats the originals in my opinion.Next thing I love is the voice acting, Kevin Conroy is awesome as usual, but I also love Michael Ansara as the voice of Mr. Freeze, I think he did an outstanding job, and his performance gives me chills (no pun intended) every time I hear his voice as Mr. Freeze. He's my favorite Mr. Freeze, and is in my opinion, the best interpretation of the character.Overall I really don't have any complaints about this movie, I think its one of the best animated Batman movies, next to Mask Of The Phantasm, which is still my favorite. I highly recommend this movie to fans of the animated series, since this movie is basically based off of it. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

Batman is my favorite Comic Book Hero and my favorite villain of Batman is Mr.Freeze.The reason why Batman is my favorite is because he is dark yet a hero to many and that he is always in mystery. Mr.Freeze is my favorite villain from Batman because he is just a man who just been trying to help his wife get better and yet he is turn into a monster. This is why Batman The Animated Series was just a bad to the bone series. This is one of the few movies they made for the series. In Batman and Mr.Freeze Sub-Zero Victor Freeze is trying to live in peace in the snow where he and his wife Nora could be together away from the world. Until a accident cause Nora's tube to be damage leaving her need help.Mr.Freeze then kidnaps Barbara Gordon who is really Batgirl. He needs her to save Nora's life.Batman and Robin must track down Mr.Freeze and save Barbara before it is too lateThe movie was made for home video but still a great movie. The Story is so well thought out and a lot of great twist and turns. The Voice is brilliant as always because Batman The Animated Series voice acting is awesome strong. The Animation is a great mix of CGI and hand drawn animation and they work well together. So overall Batman and Mr.Freeze Subzero is one of my favorite movies from Batman and the comic book world and should be watch by all fans.I give Batman and Mr.Freeze Subzero an 9 out of 10 great movie check it out

Whether SubZero is the best Batman movie that is up for debate, but it is a long, long way from being the worst. The problem is really that it was released so close to Batman and Robin, but as far as I am concerned SubZero completely blows Batman and Robin out of the water. Apart from the colourful costumes and sets, Batman and Robin for me failed on characterisation, scripting and acting-George Clooney was completely wrong for Batman and Arnold Schwarznegger's Freeze didn't come close to the complex character he is in the comic books. SubZero, while not as ambitious as Mask of the Phantasm is a very good film. True, the secondary characters could've done with more development, but it is compensated by top notch animation, a good music score, surprisingly mature scripting and a compelling enough story, that is quite action packed, and the ending was very poignant to say the least. The voice acting and characterisations were exemplary. Batman is more a side character to Robin, but Kevin Conroy ensures he is his dark and brooding self like Batman should be. Robin here is quite heroic here and Barbara aka Batgirl is really beautiful. What made the film though was Freeze himself. While still chilling and ambitious, he is also sympathetic and loves his wife to death. Michael Ansara conveyed that perfectly. In conclusion, pretty darn good for a Batman film. 9/10 Bethany Cox
