Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

The movie is so so, not so bad for watching, a standard Hollywood action movie. Not better, not worse than thousands of the similar ones. But, some things are so unlogical, that you can't miss it. 1. You need to find some cash in some very short period of time. What do you do? You rob the bank, of course. But, this bank, with the detector of temperature, with the BIIIIG, steel door of the safe, which is opened with the at least 9 or more digit code (we could see that when the director of the bank opened the door in the presence of police), they save the GOLD BARS above the sewer???!!!! All you need to do is to drill the bottom of the safe and the gold bars will fall in your lap. In this case, it was some electric welding machine and the bars were melted and fell down. So convenient. 2. The daughter of the main character is in the trunk of the taxi. The kidnapper set the taxi in fire. The most logic way to open the trunk is to use your jacket to wrap your hands and to try to open the trunk. NOOO. For our hero, it is better to go with the car in the lake, THEN to try to open the trunk, when your daughter is drowning in the confined space. INSANE. Of course, the car didn't sink immediately, it was on the surface until the director of the movie needed. When the fight was over, that moment the car sunk. So nice. 3. The main character was carrying his daughter with both hands (so, nothing was in them, but his daughter), but when he was attacked, the iron bar was in his hands to finish the kidnapper. So convenient. Again, the movie is a standard, average action movie. Not better, not worse than any other. And not worth of remembering.

With the help of three other burglars, a notorious bank thief named "Will Montgomery" (Nicolas Cage) breaks into a bank and heists $10 million from within the vault. However, as he and an accomplice named "Vincent" (John Lucas) are leaving the bank a fight breaks out between the two because Vincent wants to murder an innocent bystander. During the scuffle Will shoots Vincent in the leg but because of the valuable time wasted Will is subsequently left behind with the money when the police arrive. Faced with a tough decision, Will disposes of the money prior to being apprehended and due to this lack of evidence he is only sentenced to eight years in prison. Unfortunately, once he gets out nobody believes he got rid of $10 million and Vincent want a piece of it. Badly. As a result he kidnaps Will's daughter, "Alison" (Sami Gayle) and threatens to kill her if Will doesn't hand the money over to him. Now rather than detail the rest of the story and risk ruining this movie for those who haven't seen it, I will just say that it pretty much followed a standard format most of the way. Nothing really new. As a matter of fact, about the only things that made this film worthwhile and was the presence of Nicolas Cage. Likewise, Malin Akerman (as "Riley Jeffers") was definitely nice on the eyes. Be that as it may, I must say how incredibly ludicrous the last 30 minutes were and it's because of this that I haven't rated this film any higher than average. Seriously, you have to see it to believe it. Only in Hollywood.

Nicholas Cage is a master mind bank robber who retires after getting caught, but is forced to turn back to a life of crime to get back his daughter who has been kidnapped by his nutty ex pal.Now as the main character is a criminal master mind you may expect him to embark on a devious scheme to rob the ransom money. Wrong.Cage spends the majority of the movie trying to get his daughter back through direct means i.e. crashing cars and elbowing people in the face. When he finally decides to try stealing the money, the ingenuity of his plan is one step up from punching the bank teller out and legging it with a bundle of cash.Very silly, immensely dull, the characters are stupidly over the top. Malin Akerman is the only one of the cast who does their job well - and all she had to do was look good in tight jeans.

Well Nicholas Cage has done it again. Why is his emotionless and depressing acting style so popular? It is beyond my comprehension. And yet to see movie producers choose him for even more movies is unbelievable. This is a classic case of popular is not the best and definitely not worth paying for. Why do movie companies continue to pay his high salary demands when he delivers pathetic disappointing movies that tarnish the movie entertainment experience not promote it.You wonder what could have been if other actors had been chosen to play his roles. This is one movie where this question remains unanswered.
