The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

Aside the story copied from Lion King ,bad lines and attempts at jokes there something that perplexes me about this movie. You see: in this movie all the cows both males and females even newborn have udders and I feel that if they've done that they should have went all the way and also give udders to the dogs ,cats, chicken and pigs, it certainly wouldn't have made the movie any worst. Also some lines like the animals describing the farmer as a "good man, because he's vegan", chickens throwing darts at KFC poster give it away as a pro-vegan advertising material targeted at children: this would also explain why they didn't bother with making the actual movie good. Horrible but I would still recommend this to be watched as a study case

Barnyard tells the story of a barn of animals,, the main character being a cow, living a secret life when the kindly old farmer isn't looking. When a gang of vicious coyotes kills an old cow, Otis (the cow's goofball son), is left largely in charge of the barnyard... but can he really protect it the way his father did? Barnyard wasn't necessarily a bad movie, but it's not the first animated film about farm animals to come out, nor was it the last. It certainly doesn't have the same quality as Chicken Run (2000) or Charlotte's Web (1973). Somehow is spawned a sequel, and a TV series that I've never honestly bothered to watch; I'm not exactly Barnyard's target audience. I think if I was, I would have enjoyed it a little more, it's a typical kid's movie, not much else to say.

now I am aware this movie is for kids but seriously why watch this when you have toy story, beauty and the beast, spirited away, shrek and more why force your kids to watch this?!?! The plot is that there is a farm where animals come to life and party but Otis (played by Kevin James) has a father (voiced by *sigh* Sam Elliot from the Big Lebowski to this) who wants the farm to be normal. Later two girl cows (voiced by wanda sykes and COURTNEY COX?!?!)come and join them one of them being PREGNANT! also there these weasels who come to the farm and kill Otis's dad and kidnap all the chickens and its up to the cows and other farm animals to save them. thats the plot onto the animation which is terrible! The cgi is very poor with every character looking very ugly and look very clay like. The humor is not funny with only one funny joke (when Otis and the pregnant cow are by a fire) But the biggest offense is the voice acting with everyone sounding like they don't want to be in this movie and whats sad is some great talent is wasted with like I said Kevin James, Courtney Cox, Samee Elliot, Wanda Sykes but more like Danny Glover and even some of voice acting greats like John Dimaggio (voice of Bender), Cam Clarke (one of the best anime voice actors ever) and even ROB PAULSEN!?!?! (Animaniacs, the mask cartoon and more) what a waste of talent and money

As I think that children retain quite a bit of what they see, and relate, what they see on TV/Movies, as REALITY, the "udders" on the Bulls, was the most unsettling part of the presentation. How many children NOW think that a MALE cow (bull) has udders, like a female? They should have made the Bulls with NOTHING, as with cartoon male animals, in the past.Overall, it's an enjoyable movie, and I would recommend it for children, as long as it's pointed out, to the child, that "Boy" cows are called Bulls, and do not have udders; that only the "Girl" cows have them. Our kids don't need to be more confused than they already are, about "identity".
