This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

This was actually the worst movie I have ever seen. I am only writing this review to warn anyone else who might think it's a good idea to watch this. It's not. I would have rather spent an hour and forty minutes getting tortured by cannibals than watch this movie. I would rather eat y own body weight in live tarantulas than watch this movie again. If you are looking for a fun night get a bunch of your friends together and start this movie, the last person to want to contemplate suicide rather finish the film wins the game. I guarantee it doesn't last longer than 30 minutes. I am emotionally, physically, and mentally revolted.

THE ROMANTICS – TRASH IT ( C- ) The Romantics is one of those movies which should not have been even approved. It's wrong from the beginning, the screenplay is worse than any D class movies. I think if a person wants to make a movie about characters, that person should have the capability to write those characters on paper and then make them believable on screen as well. In The Romantics, all characters, drink, abuse and flirt all the time without showing what exactly is the reason for them to behave like total idiots. Movie is stupid, let's talk about performances now, Katie Holmes Alright, nothing extra ordinary. Anna Paquin is amazing though her role is really confusing, why she is marrying a man love in her best friend is weird! Malin Akerman is Gorgeous & natural. Josh Duhamel dapper but average actor, he needs to step up for once. I started loving Elijah Wood in WILFRIED recently, so I love him in The Romantics as well, he was wacky and funny. Adam Brody is a natural. Rebecca Lawrence and Jeremy Strong were okay, I have not seen their previous work anyway. Diann Agron is Okay. Overall, enjoyable in beginning but fell flat on its face after 15 minutes. Trash it!

I never read the novel but I did enjoy the movie to a great degree. The title implies, to me, the love and happiness shared amongst the couples, yet the beauty of the movie lies in its timeless storyline of a man stuck between two woman, unrequited love, and the sarcastic audacity of friends who in fact snort coke, almost cheat, and streak with each other's partners. I was captured from the opening scene and found that I could only describe this movie as quaint. It made me laugh, made me cry, and made me feel for the character who ultimately won in the end. (Although you really might be confused in the end, as it started raining and they started laughing)

Seven college friends reunite six years later for the wedding of Lila (Anna Paquin) and Tom (Josh Duhamel). Things go awry when the maid of honor and the bride clash over the groom, with whom the maid of honor was once romantically involved. The story moves slowly trying to explore all the relationships of people in and around the circle of friends. The movie ends with the wedding getting ruined by rain, just before the marriage can be concluded. It is implied that in the end the controlling nature of the bride is too much for the groom and he still loves the bridesmaid. What's going on with this movie? What happen with the casts? Did Holmes Know how to act? I would be very happy to give this movie 0 out of 10 if They hadn't Anna Paquin but yeah, Anna isn't enough. and with the story, suck and lost direction. the script tell us nothing but bla bla bla and bla bla bla.
