Tied for the best movie I have ever seen

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

Colombiana was a mess to be honest. Yes the movie has a good premise and a revenge story going for it, but then it has loads of other dumb parts which really bring the film down. The silly writing makes sure that I can't take this movie seriously, like the filmmakers intend. This is not something like Piranha 3DD (which I just saw) where the filmmakers clearly know that they are making a dumb movie and they embrace it. (Piranha 3DD was still bad) But Colombiana tries to be a legitimate action film and fails miserably.Director Olivier Megaton is not a good director. He handles the basics reasonably well, but when **** hits the fan and audience expects a good action sequence, you will not get one. One of the scenes in the climax is a prime example of this. Terrible angles and incredibly short shots make it hard to see what's going on. And it really shatters the illusion that there is a life and death situation going on with our main character.The acting was a hit and miss, Lenny James being the hit and everyone else being the miss. The bad directing, plot holes and plot conveniences made sure that this movie was a bad experience.

As a fan of female action this totally rocked me. Zoes acting and physical abilities were shown in this movie. Shes beautiful and talented. The plot might seem cliché but I don't find cliché always a bad thing.. there was some amateur work from supporting actors but no big deal.. Its a revenge story thats about redemption as well as Zoe said in an interview and you can feel that in the end. Its a love or hate thing and I loved it. Im not saying its a really good movie. It has its flaws but without some of the flaws it loses its point. If they had changed some things it could have been a great film generally, cuz many people hated it. Even though I think its men that hate women in action movies, cuz there are a lot of them I know that would only watch it so they can diss it.. I totally recommend it to female action fans and action fans in general who can watch a woman hold a gun without criticizing every scene. Not a very good movie but I enjoyed it tremendously

After being made a star in James Cameron's blockbuster hit, "Avatar," Zoe Saldana deserved so much more than to be cast as Cataleya in "Colombiana" -- a film with so much contrived dialogue and so many action stunts straight off of the great assembly line of action films that I honestly forgot practically all of the plot.The most preposterous thing about this film is its perspective on empowered women. Far from having any understanding of women generally, the Hollywood producers who made this film seem to feel that the only way to respond to the calls of the feminist movement for better women characters is by arming the main female character with some fire arms and sending her out to kill people and do some stunts along way. God forbid that Hollywood comes up with the idea of giving its female characters emotional depth, sophistication, and a high level of intelligence. Such things would require good scripts and good scripts is something that Hollywood producers, who are in lure of assembly line films, adamantly refuse to do. As a result, you have this smart and intelligent actress named Zoe Saldana, but she is working with a script that demands far less than her true potential as far as acting ability is concerned. And that's unfortunate.

Movie that is far-fetched, fantasy and just awful.Bad acting all round worst movie I have ever seen.Do not waste your money on this.A movie basically promoting revenge killing by taking law into your hands.Story-line is so bad, a child must have written it.This movie was so bad, it should be banned.I will pay not to be put through the torture again.No sure if the director was trying to superwoman, spiderwoman or batwoman.The director should be jailed for making such a bad movie..
