Truly Dreadful Film
It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
I was excited but afraid to see this movie. I'm not a huge fan of reboots or sequels, so I was prepared for it to suck. I really enjoyed it, though.
My insatiable love for this movie's only grows with each viewing. The musical numbers are fantastic (Life's a Happy Song is maybe in my top 10 film numbers ever), the emotions are unexpectedly potent (Rainbow Connection & Pictures in My Head beautifully touch on my longing-for-childhood nerve), & the constant stream of sincerely hilarious jokes make it one of the great comedies of the '10s.
I have been a Muppet fan since the beginning in 1976, and my interest came back thanks to this movie.Back in 2011 The Muppets came back with a bang.Jim Henson had hits like Fraggle Rock, but he also had some underrated fantasy movies in the 1980's like The Labyrinth. In this movie Walther and his brother including his girlfriend played by Amy Adams are traveling to Hollywood to meet the Muppets. But, in the meanwhile a tycoon will do anything to stop the Muppets, and replace them.Along the way there are loads of Classic and new songs that comes in form of the Classic Broadway style, 1980's songs and of course the Rainbow Connection.Of course there a lot of cameos too like Jack Black. Here is something for all.10/10
The Muppets were, and always be, a thing in my family. The only doll I ever found out that my dad has is a Fozzie Bear. I rest my case. The Muppets are for everyone and goes back multiple generations. And that must have been what Jason Segel was thinking when he came up with the idea of a new Muppet movie, because this movie is one big nostalgia fest! Sometimes it relies a bit too much on the old movies (roadtrip like the first Muppet Movie), but it throws enough new ideas (and awesome songs) to make this movie a new classic! The Oscar-winning "Man or Muppet"is just one song of the awesome soundtrack this movie has. Songs like "Life's a Happy Song" and "Me Party" are guaranteed to get stuck in your head. The humor is good and emotional ones are beautiful. I was happy to see the gang back together and I absolutely loved it!
