Absolutely the worst movie.

I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

The rivalry between the manipulative boss of an advertising agency and her talented protégée escalates from stealing credit to public humiliation to murder. Three minutes into this film were enough to be honest, the acting by Noomi Rapace was all over the place, the way that the movie starts it's stupid especially the one where a chick licks another chick. Then there's this video that they try to do with the whole phone thing and that was even more retarded. What makes this even more sad it's the fact that it was directed by the same man who directed the first Mission Impossible movie starring Tom Cruise. Personally if you like movies and any of this actors do yourself a favor and don't see it. (0/10)

Oh dear..... Within 60 seconds of watching I drew the clear conclusion that my time was better spent elsewhere. I am totally puzzled as to what BdeP was looking to achieve; I expected the first scene to close with a TV set being turned off, immediately followed by properly scripted actors mocking the car crash/comedy/amateur hour they had been watching. In dismissing the limp interplay between 2 women and a token boyfriend, the proper cast would then make way for the movie to start in earnest.Amazingly, that first scene set the tone for what was to follow - poor acting, terrible scripting, disjointed pace, lack of narrative, absence of character development, weak storytelling and a general mishmash of locations and scenes that left me thinking this laughable excuse for a movie was nothing more than a Director's self indulgence. At the premiere I can only imagine that a severe case of the emperors new clothes had kicked in whereby no-one dare exhale their sharp intakes of breath in order to share their complete unease and disbelief of what was before their eyes. The central premise is a lesbian laced joust between 2 hollow, privileged females, masquerading as a business power-play carried out in an artificial Berlin society which comes across as completely meaningless. Thus develops a plunge into unfaithfulness, murder and a totally predictable ending. The man who gave us Carrie and Carlito's Way is way off beam here, the $20m budget is a gigantic price for a complete stinker.

This film is a joy for lovers of psychological mystery, visual poetry and cinematic rhythm. I know this film is universally derided, also among revered critics, but I feel no shame to say I loved every second of it.Passion is another fine edition to Das kabinet des Dr. De Palma. All the exquisite ingredients to his powerful way of seducing are here. The suspense, the hysteria, the other worldliness of the real world, the camera in a camera, the dream in a dream, the thrilling music, the drama, and the undefinable De Palma Touch.Let yourself be caught of guard. Go see it without prejudice!

Not too sure where to begin on this one. Once you get into the second half of the film you can really start to feel the DePalma aspects kick into gear. The camera-work is great as is expected. The only problem is that all of the split/screen and POV shots have already been done before and done better by DePalma himself nonetheless. Even the film itself is basically another variation of many of DePalma's earlier works, and again the downside to this is that he has done nearly everything in this film so much better in the past that it makes it even harder to appreciate any of the positive aspects of this film. Also doesn't help that the first half of the film is almost un-watchable in every way. Bad acting, bad writing, bad lighting, bad movie. With all of that said I am still a sucker for any and all of the old DePalma camera tricks and will always enjoy them even if I can't enjoy the rest of the film.
