When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

So I was persuaded to watch this by the 'better half'. reluctantly I sat down really not expecting much more than a poorly put together cliché with poor lines and terrible jokes thrown in.Well, I was wrong! It's not the greatest film ever made, but then it never claims to be but what it is, is actually very funny in parts. So many alleged comedy films today just aren't funny, you maybe crack a smile from time to time but very seldom do you actually laugh. This had me genuinely laughing at times. The cast was better than I thought it would be too, with Billy Crystal, Stephen Merchant, Ashley Judd and Julie Andrews all playing their part very well. Stephen Merchant in particular for me had the funniest role with the best lines and situations and pulled it off brilliantly. The down side though was the now standard story of boy has girl, boy loses girl to only then win girl back. It's just getting tired now. Other than that a very good effort and well worth a watch in honesty.

This movie isn't actually that bad. Dwayne Johnson plays a former ice hockey player who tells kids not to go for their dreams in life because they'll never make it and will end up disappointed, that mindset blurs the lines between realism and pessimism.By the end of the movie it becomes apparent that Dwayne Johnson's character has a change of heart thanks to the kid of the lady he is dating. The message of this movie is clearly to go for your dreams and goals in life regardless of how unrealistic they may seem. The actors performances are okay, the dialogue was fine, Overall a watchable film.

A hokey star, Derek, or tooth fairy, as it's his nickname, is punished from the fairy world to serve as a real tooth fairy for two weeks, because of his behavior towards dreamers. And so, Derek finds it hard to balance his career, his personal life and his fairy duty. To be honest, I only started watching this film because I was intrigued by Ryan Sheckler, who was surprisingly very good, by the way. Not that I don't like Dwayne Johnson, but the whole concept of the movie seemed a little far fetched. However, it was unexpectedly good. Some parts were too much, like the wings that looked too fake to take them seriously, but Johnson was hilarious and so you can easily overcome the messy sets and the bad acting. And the fact that the movie couldn't overcome the the fact that is was a family comedy and there for all that you expect to happen, like the triumph of the main character and the big declaration of love happens. And so, because of Sheckler (he is really good!) and Johnson, who is not afraid to ridicule himself, I give the movie a 3 out of 10.

This movie loses steam fast. There are hardly any laughs in the second half. Dwayne Johnson as an ice hockey player slash tooth fairy is quite a good comedian but he and his A list supporting cast can't help this dud. Billy Crystal is alright and aged very well for his role. Julie Andrews has weak lines but she is a welcome presence. Ashley Judd as the love interest for Dwayne looks a little puffy and haggard - how did she become her mother so fast? She isn't that old. She used to be one of the prettiest actresses in Hollywood. The kids aren't cute enough for a movie.Dwayne's negative attitude is one of the amusing things in the movie but there is little else to laugh about. I don't think kids will enjoy this one at all.
