Joy Ride (2001)

Nice effects though.

It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

Three young people on a road trip from Colorado to New Jersey talk to a trucker on their CB radio, then must escape when he turns out to be a psychotic killer. Joy Ride does go into familiar territory at times with it's story and has some horror cliches i won't doubt that but there's some great suspense moments, Zhan and Walker are really great and the overall film is nicely crafted it's no masterpiece but it's a well made horror film. (7.5/10)

No it's not the rubber duck that's after them...it's NUSTY NAIL!! I love the antagonist...he's right up there with "Wolf Creek" or "The Hitcher". It doesn't quite live up to those, but it's a solid movie. If you want to see Paul Walker before he got fast and furious (RIP Paul), you should check this out!!

Three young people on a road trip from Colorado to New Jersey talk to a trucker (Ted Levine) on their CB radio, then must escape when he turns out to be a psychotic killer.This film is sort of like "Duel", though some or most of the action takes place outside of the car. Play a prank on a trucker and this is what might happen. Especially when the trucker has the voice of Buffalo Bill.I thought this film was great. A bit far-fetched at times, because there is no realistic way the trucker could hunt these kids down. But giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he is an expert tracker and caught their license plate at some point...

I liked this film from start to finish fully entertaining and a solid twist really made for a good watch.The chemistry between Steve Zahn and Paul walker worked really well through the whole movie.Good action scenes along with good pacing and score gave this a must watch flick.This was as good as Duel in many places if not better. And the Directing was good all the way to the end as these films have tendencies to be campy. this was not one bit.I recommend this one all the way.
