Contagion2 And A Half Out Of 5Contagion is a plot driven dramatic feature about an unseen antagonist whose lethal strike has the potential to wipe out the entire world where the humans finds themselves surviving against nature rather than fighting back. Kudos to the writers for accounting in, each character's perspective till the last breath of the feature that helps keep the audience tangled into its poignant world. The primary objective of the feature would be to bind all the multiple characters and their sub-plots so that it doesn't come off as mere news to the audience which unfortunately it fails to do so. Addition to that, it also fails to create the anticipated impact on screen since the stakes in here never communicates with the viewers. The writing is also raw and a bit busy in its spiraled web since most of the time is spent upon offering the essential triggers and closure to each character which is frankly off putting. Soderbergh; the director, at the heart of it, is brilliant on executing each frame no matter how theoretical the script grows, he tries to keep the crisp alive. The performance is up to the mark by amazing cast like Damon, Winslet (She stands out alone with higher margin), Law, Fishburne and Cotillard. It is short on technical aspects like background score, camera work and cinematography. Repercussions that each decision at such critical moment might breed and its fast paced tone with shorter runtime are the only high points of the feature. Soderbergh's world might be passionate and have some idea to share, but within its self-created pathos procedure, the intriguing idea fades away quickly before the construction even begins. Contagion; similar to its antagonist, sticks with you until you surrender yourself with exhaustion and pity for the makers, with such a swing and a miss act.

So-so movie about a woman visiting the far east who brings back a new virus that sweeps across America, killing her and thousands others. Really doesn't that will with how people in such a situation would prey on one another, Kate Winslet it decent as the selfless doctor seeking a cure. Matt Damon kinds of sleep walks through his part.

As you might be able to tell by the title, Contagion is one of those "everyone's going to die" movies. It starts with businesswoman Gwyneth Paltrow who dies of a mysterious disease, but who else did she pass it to? Since she flew home from a business trip, everyone on the plane might be infected—is it too late to stop it before the entire world becomes extinct? Everyone knows I hate these types of movies, so if you actually like them, you won't be happy with my review. I find these movies extremely frightening and, as a rule, I try to avoid them. But, with the all-star cast of Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne, Marion Cotillard, Elliott Gould, John Hawkes, Sanaa Lathan, Jennifer Ehle, and Bryan Cranston, I thought I'd give it a try. Thankfully, the film wasn't so traumatizing that it's burned in my brain and will give me nightmares in the years to come, but I could have done without seeing it. It's a very typical disaster flick, with an overview of varied characters that you quickly become attached to and then cringe when they get killed off. There are some gruesome scenes, but unless you're particularly sensitive, it won't be scarier than anything you've already seen.Kiddy warning: Obviously, you have control over your own children. However, due to some frightening scenes and images, I wouldn't let my kids watch it.

Seriously, the most boring film I've sat through in a long, long time.Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Gwenyth Paltrow (I've probably spelt two of these names wrong already) and Lawrence Fishburne say, "Come on, a solid drama with good performances, give me a viewing", so I did... and where the acting was good indeed, the film itself is one of the dullest, offensively tedious bags of crap I've endured in so long that I'm repeating myself. And I still am: absolute bore. Avoid.
