Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

Movie Review: "Batman Forever" (1995)A succession to Tim Burton's two-times interpretation of legendary comicbook-superhero "Batman", created by Bob Kane (1915-1998), comes at a hard stack of a 100 Million Production Value, when director Joel Schumacher needs to utilize all his routine and color forcing companionship with cinematogrpher Stephen Goldblatt, who saves the picture to be a failure, when "Hollywood" all-stars as Nicole Kidman as Deluxe support, Tommy-Lee Jones as over-made-up Two-Face, Jim Carrey as timeless show-stealing character of "The Riddler" to Val Kilmer as solid, but not spectacular "Bruce Wayne" deliver a surprisingly visceral comic-action event-movie, which annoys and fascinates at the same time, when out-of-shadow actor Chris O'Donnell as "Dick Grayson aka Robin" brings balance to a 115-Minute-Cut; keeping it even with unforgiven continuity "loopholes" of life-and-death situation at times of showdown after helicopter-, batmobile- and batboat-actions in atmospheric ambience throughout towards extraordinary less-to-no digital interference live-action 2nd unit photography, when unforntunately the gothic-to-morbid suspense of the Tim Burton directed, Michael Keaton starred precessors can not be reached to full satisfactions.Nevertheless due to its boldness of image system splendors and ultra-stark opening sequence "Batman Forever" stays relevant for revisits concerning any past, present or future generation of cinematic spectactors presented exclusively as proudly by Warner Bros. Batman Forever was a sign of things getting truly batshit crazy for the Batman franchise. The last two films were great iterations of The Dark Knight but Warner Brothers wanted things to be lightened-up for younger audiences as opposed to Tim Burton's German-Expressionistic style of directing. Enter Joel Schumacher, the man who eventually crippled the franchise with Batman & Robin TWO YEARS after he did Batman Forever. Well, at least he kept his style of filmmaking consistent with the two movies: hamming it up to the point of no return, until Chris Nolan resurrected the franchise with Batman Begins in 2005 (thank Christ). So, is this film so sinfully bad that anyone who likes it deserves to be crucified to high-heaven and back? No. But it's not all that good either. Batman Forever has become a widely forgotten-about blockbuster because of how inoffensive it was. It still is, but the precedent it set for Batman & Robin was not. This so-so movie was just a sign of things to come in the broader sense of things. As a lifelong Batman fan, I can easily this is one Batman film you can happily skip during your next Batman-athon. This is filler material incarnate.

Batman Forever was clearly targeted for the more younger audience, and it did a very good job at that. I remember watching this as a child, and I enjoyed every moment of it from start to finish. The film was entertaining. Robin was great, and the villains especially the Riddler was amazing. Honestly, it was the Riddler that stole the show, and had it not been for Jim Carrey's performance, the film would've lost a lot of limelight; in other words, it would've almost been bad as Batman & Robin. Jim Carrey literally stole the show. The film is overly criticised, but there's no reason for it – really! I'm surprised how the director managed to get actors such as Carrey, Clooney and Arnold to participate in a superhero film due to their status and calibre. All in all, Batman Forever is slightly underrated, and is a good Batman film. Fantastic to watch during the 90s.

After Batman Returns, Warner decided that the Batman movies had to be child-friendly. That was ultimately a stupid move, because Michael Keaton and Tim Burton liked it because of two Batman movies. Val Kilmer, I find, is a lesser Batman than Keaton. He shows emotion. I also find The Riddler played by Jim Carrey The Joker 2.0.Pros of the movie: -Gotham City -Michael Gough as Alfred -Val Kilmer as Batman -Chris O Donnel as RobinNegatives of the movie: -Joel Schumacher as Director -Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face -Unrealistic images -Batmobil -Little tensionI give Batman Forever a 5.
