Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

The A-Team movie is an enjoyable, over-the-top, no-time-to-breath, hysterical, fun-ride.The cast is perfect, Sharlto Copley as Murdoch is spot on the most memorable of them all, Liam Neeson as Hannibal Smith, feels like the perfect leader for such a mad group, Bradley Cooper is charismatic as hell and also great in the action scenes and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was a great B.A., with an interesting character ark for this kind of Action-Blockbuster.But talking about action, the big set-pieces in this movie are insane, you will gasp, you pump your fist in the air and roar "fuck yeah!", and you will laugh about the great gags and loud, spectacular madness on screen. The effects do their job fairly well, and most of the stunts are and explosions are practical, so that it never get's distracting. The music by Alan Silvestri suits the insane energy and the military theme of the film. The movie also has an engaging story with a nice twist, which works fine as a prequel to the series (apart from the fact that it's set today and not in the 80's)All in all, high-octane action, with great humor and a very good cast...

I love every major actor in this film. But the miscasting is legendary. Liam Neeson is so badly miscast that you can see him trying to play the part of Hannibal right from the start and doing so in unconvincing fashion. He doesn't fit the part. And Face... sorry, great actor but he's not the ladies man. You know there is going to be a problem when the strongest member of the group is the non-actor - BA. And he's not great. Murdoch... just a total lamer. The miscasting is evident without seeing the prior history this story has seen. As a remake that didn't need to be remade, it's a disgrace. The IMDb rating is badly overblown and most generously above 6. If you go to other sites you'll see a far lower rating and for good reason. This is unfortunately a poor B movie. Watch at your own risk. The opening of the film wastes time on a mediocre back story. And then it's padded run time with the team envisioning success needlessly. All the famous lines are used to recreate the characters but so poorly that all you can think is "it's -insert name actor here- artificially uttering the lines made famous in trademark style." The team goes into Baghdad and let the ridiculous bravado begin. Don't say you weren't warned.

The story is indeed not very solid. It bases itself quite well in the Iraq War to rejuvenate the age old A-Team origins from the TV show. But then again all those twists and turns don't really give a surprise to viewers, especially to seasoned action movie junkies. The action served falls to the class of crazy action, which is fully illogical doable only at the minutest of chances, if not to say impossible. Such action may look cool to seasoned action movie goers, but most of the lay people need to understand more about the military technical and gadgetry slang used overly. The acting overall is quite good for me. Liam Neeson as usual played his action role very well. Although I noticed that his role here has him to be more active than his usual characters. Bradley Cooper proves he can act well in comedy, action, or even action comedy in this movie. Jessica Biel, Quentin Jackson and Sharlto Copley really complete the needed character angle for this movie. Patrick Wilson however needs to step up on his game here.

This movie is not as bad as the reviews make out. As a fan of the TV show, I was looking forward to the new movie. I'm gutted to say "The A-Team" is a mess. The characters have the same names, and they play the same type of characters. But that's where any resemblance to the popular TV show ends. The plot in a paragraph: A crack commando unit (The A-Team) is sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security prisons to clear their names.Oh no that's the voice over from the beginning of the TV show, except it really is the plot of the movie. Bradley Cooper is the star of the show as 'Face' and Liam Neeson (enjoying an Indian summer of stardom) is good as 'Hannibal' they are the best things in this movie. The other two members of The A-Team are fine, and Jessica Biel is OK too. Sadly the plot is drawn out, too much shaky cam during the action scenes, and its running time is about 30 minutes too long. Apart from the annoying shaky cam "The A-Team" has some ludicrous set pieces, including our heroes falling from an airplane in a tank! To give it credit, the movie knows it is childish. The PG-13 is appropriate. There's little actual gore, no sex and no R-rated language. A funny story is I expected "The A-Team" to do much better than the R-rated Sly Stallone led ensemble "The Expendables" released the same year. "The Expendables" walked all over "The A-Team" and got two sequels. Sadly the last one, went the same PG-13 route as "The A-Team" and appear to have been a franchise killer. I think if a sequel was green lighted, it would have been a much better effort the second time around. I think too much time has passed and Neeson and Cooper are both much more popular now too.A missed opportunity but still watchable thanks to Cooper and Neeson.
