It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

This movie was an absolute sh*t-show, so much so that it was actually laughable. I laughed AT this movie... key word "at". The script and plot are stupid and the the acting didn't help the already poor situation. I was appalled at the portrayal or Trinidad... absolutely ridiculous and inaccurate and quite blatantly rude to the people who live there. And what was up with their accent?? That was not Trinidadian. The writers must be some ignorant people because they completely discredited the country and did no research at all to back this movie. Also did I mention the absolute horrendous script and plot??? Please do not watch this. Or do if u want a chuckle and a waste of time... to be clear this is not a funny film, it was laughable because of how absurd and wrong and terrible the whole thing was... Who wrote this? Because (insert name of person who wrote this)'s career is over.

There are quite a few things wrong with this film, yet a few redeeming features too. Firstly, the script is awful. The cheesy one liners are woeful, and some of the ways the parents react are painful, although that is as much the acting than the script. So, the acting. The main leads, Thwaites and Evans, do as much as they can with a limited script, and looking beyond the American accents, bearing in mind they are both Australian, they don't do a bad job. They do actually create very intimate love scenes and keep the film going, and by the end of the movie, you do actually feel sad as Evans plays hard to get after all the attention they are getting. Also, they have obviously been picked for their looks, and not necessarily for their acting skills, and so much of it is filmed with minimal clothes on, which i must admit isn't a bad thing for the guys out there, and I'm sure the girls wont complain too. Overall, a rubbish script but with a nice deeper story and an intimate love story create by decent actors.

The plot of this movie differs a little from the other two Blue Lagoon movies, in the fact that they are not stranded as little kids, and grow up on the island. Emma and Dean are high school teens who get stranded on the island after a boat party mishap. After that, you can easily guess the rest. The acting is very good, and there are some beautiful shots of scenery. I also like the fact that we see the friends and families of the stranded kids, searching and worrying back on the mainland. The movie focuses on these characters as well as the island teens, and that makes for a better storyline than the first two movies, in which all film time was spent on the island. This is a better TV movie than many I've seen. It's definitely not Oscar material, but you won't regret seeing it. 8/10

In spite of the spoiler that I read, I really enjoyed the movie up until the ending starting at after they are rescued and Dean shows up at her window the first night. I don't understand after the relationship that developed on the island how she could shut him out of her life so quickly. How is the viewer to understand the scenes with Emma gazing at Dean after the party? I guess one explanation is that immediately upon returning home and viewing facebook, she feels shes is back to her previous life, but as the movies progresses, she realizes that she really has changed. So she calls Dean. And he won't answer. Really? Feeling as he does about her, he ignores her? And she makes one attempt. She doesn't try again, try to see him, or text him. Doesn't make sense. The scene at the end of the movie makes me feel like there are deleted scenes. At the dance when Emma is with her best friend, the friend makes a comment that she knew Emma had it in her. It implies to me that there was a previous scene where Emma confides in her about her relationship with Dean on the island. And Dean showing up at the dance without knowing that Emma is alone suggests Emma's friend advise him that she wasn't going to the dance with the quarterback and if he wants her come and get her. It's just me, but the addition of those two scenes would have made the ending some much more pleasing for me. I would love to see the movie release as a DVD with any deleted scenes included and maybe something that would relieve the viewer of guessing to make things make sense. By the way, I would have been very disappointed in Indiana Evens if there were any nude scenes, even just topless. And I once had sex with a virgin and did not know she was a virgin.
