A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

This is my favorite movie. I like this better than many films that are objectively better. A lot of them actually. The film has an excellent story by Disney sequel standards. Sure it´s just another forbidden love story, but it is an excellent one. The music is probably the best thing. He Lives In You: Epic opening, arguably better than Circle of Life. Also Tina Turner did a cover of this.We Are One: Strangely, this is my least favorite song. It has a sort of simple sound, and while the lyrics are good, I find this song kinda boring. My Lullaby: Oh. My. Goodness. This song is DARRRRKK!!!!....rai. (Pokemon Joke LOL) This is one of my favorite songs in the movie and one of my favorite movie songs in general. This song is masterfully done.Upendi: I don´t have anything to say. It isnt too interesting. But ill take it over Hakuna Matata any day.Not One Of Us: This scene is so powerful and the scene displays some of the best animation in this movie. Love Will Find a Way: My favorite movie song ever. The song is just so beautiful. I love this song. The film is arguably better than the original, especially in the soundtrack. The new characters are good. Rafiki is given more screen time and Timon and Pumbaa are given less. Even if this film isn´t better than the original, i think it is, and thats what matters to me.

I loved original The Lion King movie since childhood but never cried on it. But The Lion King II: Simba's Pride made me cry! This is absolutely touching story about great power of true love - the Love that can defeat hatred! The first movie is great but pretty simple (well, maybe remake will be more complex) - however, the sequel is much better! And Kovu is my favorite movie character for now!

It's hard to compere yourself to the first Lion King movie, this's probably the reason why IMDb rating is a little low. It's still one of the best Disney sequel I ever seen. There's nothing to be a shame off, I believe that most Lion King fans will love this film. This time, the inspiration for this movie is the story Romeo and Juliet- the tragedy written by the great William Shakespeare- nothing new here, but still done very well. Our beloved characters are still hear, only without Scar and the Hyenas. The new villain are enjoyable, I love Nuka the most, he only want his mother (Zira) affection and not matter how much he try, it's doesn't work. I love story between Kiara and Nala (style Romeo and Juliet), we seen more from Rafiki, Pumbaa and Timon and of course adult Simba. The songs are wonderful, even for non-sequel movies, no Elton John, but they pick great singers for the movie- maybe the biggest surprise. It's true, the movie don't have the same pace and charm, as the first one, but it's entertainment, with a lot of references to the first movie. The sequel bring honor to the 1994 classic film. Lion King fans will love this one, if they give the movie the chance it deserve.7.5/10

Let me start off by saying, The Lion King was a cinematic masterpiece. It captured emotion perfectly and was a near perfect film. But the sequel is far from that. The sequel wasn't even needed. The film continues the story of the original Lion King, with Simba being the leader of the pride. However, Simba's more of a background character now. And instead of trying something new, by making it an entirely new storyline, they basically copy and pasted for the most part. Simba plays the role of Mufasa in this film, and the new children play the roles of Simba and Nala. The storyline has a few minor tweaks, but nothing worth noting.I'd give a more detailed review, but I have not seen this film in years. I remember it being disappointing and nowhere near as good as the original. It was rather forgettable, which was a shame, because we all know Disney can do better than this.
