R.I.P.D. (2013)

Wow! Such a good movie.

Very disappointed :(

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

I gotta say, yes this movie has a weird and slightly cheesy premise, but this is totally a candy movie for me! I love when movies embrace their premise and all the actors really show that they embraced it as well. Jeff bridges and Ryan Reynolds have great chemistry and I laughed a lot during their interactions. The movie was exciting and funny and interesting in this unique idea - I really enjoyed it! Not every movie needs to be this profound, dramatic 'work of art', sometimes you just want to watch a fun movie with great acting and chemistry between actors and something unique that you haven't seen before - that's exactly what you get with this one. All in all, cheesy in parts, but definitely funny and interesting with great chemistry between all the actors. Definitely recommend this one!

Surprisingly, this was more enjoyable than I anticipated. Yes, the dialogue is crap. Yes, the humor is downright silly. I just don't know exactly why I found this as entertaining as I did. Maybe it was the amazing visual effects. Maybe it was the unique story. Maybe it was the 'City of Angels'-ish love story. Maybe it was the devilishly handsome Ryan Reynolds. Whatever it was, it worked for me and I enjoyed this. (The usually good Jeff Bridges was annoying, though.)

Fun and entertaining film similar to the Frighteners, it's definitely worth a watch.

I read a lot about this black comedy. Okay, I love Jeff Bridges and yeah, I like Kevin Bacon and Ryan Reynolds, so I was expecting some fun, and did I get it not. I got what I expected as it was fun, it was fast, it was often hilarious, but then it was very empty, predictable, generic, very typical. Was Jeff Bridges any good. He was, yeah, but then he was very obnoxious and very tiresome. Ryan? he was Okay, but never surpassing any level of being just regular. Kevin Bacon is always cool and menacing, but too never above the regular level. The CGI are awesome and often breathtaking, and yeah, the dead ones are funny, too. It was a warm welcome to see Robert Knepper as one of those. The plot is not fresh or original and it is evident very soon. Then, I was just skipping some scenes and yawning at some boring dialogues. It was very silly, true to the word's meaning. This is the movie that we can watch and then happily forget as a throwaway ditty.
