Tone, Script & Story: The story is how the rule of devils son is to be bought onto earth and how it is stopped mostly with the help of John Constantine. Our Constantine has a destiny that is hell bound, he tries to buy his way in heaven will he succeed? Thus summing it up, the Tone, Script & Story comes out to be all 'good'.Direction, Screenplay, Cinematography: The visual appeal that is highlighted with elements those come into study when we consider the world with angels and demons lift up the movie. They altogether come out to be 'very good'.Final Verdict: One of the best movies of its kind consisting of our world and the places where Angel's and demons exist. It is worth adding to your collection.

Supernatural detective John Constantine helps a policewoman prove her sister's death was not a suicide, but something more. Constantine is a film that despite some flaws like no clear villain, some late 2000's special effects and some odd castings like Tilda Swinton as Gabriel, Constantine delivers the good side of the famous DC anti-hero with a dazzling perfomance from Keanu Reeves in the title character, Rachel Weisz as a detective who investigates her twin sister's suicide and even Shia LaBeouf does a good and decent job. Francis Lawrence direction is well done and some scene's like the one with the mirror and the one in hell were pretty freaking amazing. Overall this is a film with it's flaws no doubt about that but it's a good and underrated DC Film even tho the Series was a bit much better. (8/10)

The film is OK, managed to watch it all. But it started so well I was disappointed towards the end. It did become U.S. comic book stuff, take on demons, forget exorcism you need assault shotguns and dragons breath flame throwers. As to why the archangel Gabriel would wish to punish mankind by unleashing the son of Satan is beyond comprehension. I wouldn't recommend this, but can't trash it. Try Omen series or the Exorcist before this, stories that don't need to rely on CGI.

Constantine (2005) is a fantastical drama by Francis Lawrence about a man, John Constantine, who possesses the unique ability to see the demons and angels that dwell on Earth. Established to be selfishly motivated, John exorcises demons from the innocent to win the favor of God. Upon meeting a detective, Angela, John assists her in discovering the truth behind her sisters supposed suicide. The most present aspect I noticed in this film is thread. A large topic in the film is the idea of demons "crossing the plane" to Earth and the world in which humans interact. To further this concept, the film continually uses physical planes. While many threads exist, such as the cross, water, and John's cigarettes, I found the glass acting as a means of transport to be interesting. Glass is barrier broken in many scenes throughout the film, as a transparent means of moving from one state to another. In this film, it took the shape of a separating between Earth and Hell, between ignorance and knowledge, and life and death. The film quite overtly expresses the archetype of light vs darkness in its cinematography and storyline regarding religion and demonology. The light and dark can be related to aspects of good and evil, but also that of enlightenment, as described in Plato's The Allegory of the Cave. Most notably, it serves as a social commentary on suffering and forgiveness. I found the film to be fascinating, though the plot, at times, seemed obscure. While there are many aspects I can draw out of it, I do not consider it be a film I would watch again. The resolution left me with little satisfaction and the overt hint at attraction between John and Angela didn't seem to add to the plot in any way, making it a distraction and feel unnecessary. I would rate this film an 7/10.
