Gladiator (2000)
In the year 180, the death of emperor Marcus Aurelius throws the Roman Empire into chaos. Maximus is one of the Roman army's most capable and trusted generals and a key advisor to the emperor. As Marcus' devious son Commodus ascends to the throne, Maximus is set to be executed. He escapes, but is captured by slave traders. Renamed Spaniard and forced to become a gladiator, Maximus must battle to the death with other men for the amusement of paying audiences.

An Exercise In Nonsense
Powerful movie, Ridley Scott's visions is magnificent. All elements fused together like a well oiled machine. Character development, excellent by all the actors. Emotions fully expressed and both loved and hated, yet loved them for the clarity communicated across the screen. A great movie moves the audience into a love/ hate relationship with sympathy, empathy, apathy and anger. The whole spectrum of emotions including love in all its forms. Editing, musical scores, simply filled with multiple levels of passion. Ridley excelled in his vision, where we the audience, were completely engrossed in the film, from start to finish. I've watched this over and over. When I listen to the haunting musical score of the film. I'm quickly transported to the scene where Russell walks through the field. Spectacular! I could give this film way more than 10!
Such an amazing accomplishment from one of the great directors.You just can't beat the very first colosseum fight and the reveal!
What An amazing movie , the hardships the main character had to go through to not only survive but seek revenge transmit to us his pain and suffering , The movie is beautifully shot and the dialogues well written . But truly what elevated this movie for me was the score by Hanz Zimmer , im truly speechless at how amazing not only "now we are free " is . But all the soundtracks in the movie really gives you the feel of grief when you need to feel sad , of heroism when you need to feel brave , but post importantly of hope when you know the end is near ! All around amazing movie , with the best soundtrack I've heard to date !
Amazing movie , perfect in all aspects The sound score was magical Solid plot, interesting story , great script , and magnificent actors Watching this movie was one of the best experience in my life
