what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

It is becoming common place as shark-infested storms get stronger and harder to figure out. The United States has been ravaged enough, so look out world; simultaneous shark swarm storms pop up in cities like Rome, London, Rio and Tokyo. Leading defender against these ravenous creatures of the sea, Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) and his bionic wife, April (Tata Reid), are forced to go global as son Gil (Billy Barratt) is trapped after being swooped up into one of the storms. Hilarious, berserk, ridiculous and pretty stupid with terrible CGI; but entertaining and creative with obligatory cameos. How many times can you beat a dead shark? The franchise lives on with such stars as: Cassandra Scerbo, Porsha Williams, Yanet Garcia, Chris Kattan, Tony Hawk, Olivia Newton-John, Bret Michaels, Samantha Fox, Gilbert Gottfried, Al Roker, Charo and Clay Aiken.

I looked forward to seeing some Sharknado action in my home country of England but this soon turned to disappointment. I enjoyed the first few movies in the series with their insane stupidity but this one has gone a step too far, it's just not funny anymore. Time to put it to bed but there will almost certainly be a 6th, which no doubt I will watch. Back to this one we have z-grade celebs such as Sam Fox, Katie Price & the hideous Jedward given parts, thankfully small. A poor effort to spoof James Bond. And perhaps fewer sharks, or at least close up.

When going into a Sharknado movie, I think the first thing you have to remind yourself is that, it's going to be pretty rubbish. The whole series is just absolutely ridiculous, but that's what makes Sharknado, Sharknado. It's just a bit of out of this world fun, with terrible puns (seriously, Fin and Gil?) and just some really bad acting. And bad acting, especially is something you have to remember that is going to be going on throughout any Sharknado movie. But the actors do really well, I wouldn't be surprised if they were told to act badly instead of taking the job seriously.Sharknado 5 is, in my opinion, the best Sharknado of the series. We actually get to learn more of the science in the series. It was quite a leap from the last one, and it was pretty good. This one did a good job and I think it might have done the series some good.

****Might be spoilers. I don't know what I'm going to write.****As usual, Sharknado delivered. The homages to movies of the past, the sly references and the celebrity cameos are what keeps me coming back. Yes, the acting is over the top and, yes, the scripts are, at times, cringe-inducing. But it's funny and entertaining. Of course, the "film snobs" won't think so, but screw them! Now, that said, this Sharknado disappointed me in spots. First off, when Chris Kattan has his leg bitten off by a shark at Parliament, why oh why did he not say "It's only a flesh wound."? Would have been the perfect homage to Monty Python. Missed opportunity there. Second, why was Tiffany Pollard (aka New York from Flavor of Love) in this movie? She's no longer relevant. She had no business being in the cast. Get that gold-digging nasty whore out of my movie! Third, the ending of the movie was not good. Without getting into any specifics, Dolph Lundgren??? SMH. Just no. Loved the first 1:50 of the film. The last 10 minutes needed to be better. And why have time travel as part of the film if you're not going to have Christopher Lloyd come in to help save the day? Despite all of that, I'm eagerly anticipating Sharknado 6. When will Ian Ziering get his much-deserved Emmy Award?
