Just perfect...
Good concept, poorly executed.
everything you have heard about this movie is true.
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
I watched it in German with english subs that were not even good subs and I enjoyed the movie. Havn't seen it with the English Dub so can't judge the quality of their voice acting but the original cast was really good.
Can't believe how bad this was. The weirdest thing of all is that it's set in America, NY by looks of it, but all the actors are English, talking with their own accents. Baffling!Emily WAtson as the mum is terribly miscast. But the whole thing is a mess - plot, script, tired cliched attempts at child humour.
I have no idea what they were thinking when the studio thought this film was worth making. The script has no substance and appears to rely on the fact the the audience already knows about other films in this genre. My kids are 7 and 3 and even they thought that this was awful. I don't know who they're making this for as everyone I've spoken to that has watched it has the same opinion.It's a good thing I didn't pay to see this otherwise I'd have demanded my money back!Only 1 star because it's inpossible to go any lower - don't waste your time, money or effort on this pile of excrement!
Despite a decent British cast this film is one of the worst animations I have ever seen! Its defiantly not for young kids or actually anybody as the weak script, massive plot holes and terrible jokes are just not worth the 90minutes.BUT the worst thing of all is that nobody can explain to me why everybody (not just the family) speaks in various English accents yet the film is clearly set in the US of bloody A. SET IT IN ENGLAND YOU FOOLS!!!!
