If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Just like his character who was overqualified for the role of security officer, Banderas is overqualified for this TV movie. Overall not bad, but not good.

You've seen it before many times - damaged soldier down on his luck is in the wrong (right?) place when a large group of bad guys want to kill a witness and he kicks their bottoms. For this film to work you have to believe that a large group of criminals that have just wiped out a groups of US Marshals suddenly become less competent when they come up against a small group of useless and immature security guards simply because out hero is helping the guards. For this film to work you have to believe that in a fire fight between our hero armed with handguns and five bad guys with automatic weapons that he shoots them all. For this film to work you have to believe that on the several occasions the bad guys have to kill our hero that they hesitate.Nevertheless it was quite entertaining.

Mr. Bandaras turns in a convincing turn as a tough military veteran with undisclosed post- traumatic stress issues forced to employ his combat skills against mall thugs. The villain, played by the great Ben Kingsley, is coolly evil and great in his role. While there are clearly some odd aspects to the setting and an overabundance of dufus Millennial mall cops in an out-of-the-way mall, the fight scenes are extremely well-staged and a dark humor surrounds the mall cop heroics. The actress was too wise for her years, as is common— and very irritating—in stories coming out of Hollywood these days, but over all was well- directed. A fun evening at the mall.

Enjoyed the "Hollywood" fantasy. Sure, it's a little far fetched, but that movie making, not reality TV. Enjoy the ride. Don't be too critical. Some good acting. A good story. Some interesting techniques I'd not seen before or maybe just not remember seeing. I just let it roll, having an open mind for what was unfolding. Just enjoy the movie. Action.
