While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

This film is set in rural india. Small towns have their own charisma. Akshay Kumar puts his heart and soul into it and delivers a power packed performance. His younger brother is played by Dwiyendu and he catches the dialect perfectly and delivers a beautiful performance. Bhumi Pednekar does these roles with ease. The message in the film is very important and gets delivered to the audience while they are being entertained. Kudos to Bollywood. They have come a long way

Overall movie is good. The message movie wants to give is really needful in India. Lots of people in India steel don't have Toilet in their home. Government wants to help but because of some corrupt officials people are away from toilet moreover illiteracy is big the cause. Good to watch this movie more important that women are raising their voice. Keep going women you will definitely win..

Very intelligently thought script and decently directed. Full justice has been done so as to generate the best with the limited story frame. All actors have done a great job. Bhumi Pednekar stands out with a brilliant focused performance where she never leaves her character lite. Shree Narayan Singh after his great Editing skills in various movies gives a good attempt at direction.Storyline Rating: 3Acting Rating: 3 Bhumi Pednekar: 4 Akshay Kumar: 3 Divyendu Sharma: 4 Sudhir Pandey: 3 Sachin Khedekar: 3 Anupam Kher: 2Direction Rating: 3Music Rating: 2Cinematography: 2Editing: 3

Toilet Ek Prem Katha has been promoted with so much hype, excellent reviews etc that I expected it to be a brilliant film. It is nice but .... I saw this movie a couple of days ago when it premiered on Zee Cinema HD. The dialogues are witty, the acting excellent, the sets realistic, cinematography exemplary. The storyline is unusually unique no doubt and socially this film sends a strong message, almost as if it is propaganda for the government's No Open Defecation campaign .... nothing wrong with that of course but at times, the propaganda angle came through a tad too much. The story stretched a bit and could have been cut short by at least 20 minutes. Perhaps it felt even more stretched because the advertisement breaks were on cue almost every 10 minutes ... certainly felt like that anyway! In summary, its an entertaining watchable film with a stellar cast and a good social message - will probably mop up quite a few awards for the social message alone. Not a brilliant film though, nor as good as Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB-2.
