This film takes place in Chicago, Illinois around Christmas time with people doing their last minute shopping on Christmas Eve and a Lt. Cornelius Morgan, (Dean Cain) has been put on suspension and his badge and weapon have been taken from him and he was wished a Merry Christmas from his chief of police. Cornelius is married to a very pretty blonde petite wife named Catherine, (Cat) Morgan, (Erika Eleniak) and they are both trying to handle this bad news at Christmas time. Cat is a religious woman and she tries to give her husbands support but there is a fight right at Christmas Eve and Cornelius decides to make up with her and bring her flowers at her place of business in a very large mall. While he is in the mall he notices that there is a robbery going on and he starts to investigates and gets himself into a war zone with plenty of bullets flying and lots of bombs and you name it, everything is used. This robbery involves 12 million dollars and Cornelius recognizes the leader of the gang and things go from bad to worse. Eric Roberts, (Jimmy Scalzetti) gave a great supporting role to this wild Christmas story and this film will hold your interest right to the very end. Enjoy

First of all, this movie was entertaining, the only problem was that it had already been done! There were way too many similarities to Die Hard for me to not notice, even some direct ones that made me laugh because they were things that happened in Die hard that werent even necessary to the original story. If the writers of Christmas Rush really wrote this script originally, then I feel really bad for them. Man all that work, and then its done, they watch it and are like "oh crap, we just wrote Die Hard!" Even though the actual Die Hard Can be seen as a cliche, I think that it was still well done and original, and I'm sure it took lots of work to write. If the Christmas Rush writers really didnt even think about Die Hard, then it sucks to be them, all that work for nothing! The reason I was only half-joking about them rewriting it unintentionlly if because if they wanted to make a cheesey Die Hard spinoff, then they would have at least made an attempt to hide it. Plenty of movies are spinoffs of other movies, but the writers do try to hid it unlike Christmas rush.all in all, I thought it was a pretty good movie, and if it had been original, I would have liked it more, although laughing at the die hard similarities kind of added to the fun!

After years of watching high priced Hollywood drivel (with the odd exception) I have taken to loving this type of film. Its plot is about a simplistic as you can get, and the actions scenes are very entertaining. Sure the characters are wafer thing.. But isnt that the point. I vote highly for this type of film and hope the company spits out more and more of them.At least they reflect the budget they had, not the $100Mill pop videos that Burbank and suchlike are churning out.Not ideal Cinema movies, but great night in front of the DVD/VHS with a bottle of your chosen and some nibbles.....

Dean Cain made a great action hero and had the best querks, Erika Eleniac had a well played character and Eric Roberts played the excellent villian but had a purpose for stealing the money, to save his son from leuquemia and needed a operation that would cost a quarter of a million dollars, ends up with a win win ending were ud have to see it to know how it ends, but it ends in a very good way. a DEFINITE 10 OUTA 10 PERFECT ACTION COMEDY DRAMA AND IS TOP NOTCH FOR A TV MOVIE AND IS BETTER THAN MOST THEATRICAL MOVIES AND HAS BETTER SPECIAL EFFECTS THAN MOST THEATRICAL MOVIES... POINTS WELL SERVED!!!!
