Judgment (2001)

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

This movie takes an interesting spin from the forerunner that had Helen Hannah in it, after being caught in TRIBULATION, she is now to be killed--but be humiliated first in the trial of the century. Backsotry: In the first or second film, her brother told us that she renounced France Macalusso on TV and went from renowned reporter to public enemy number 1 overnight. Now, after being caught, she must defend herself and stand up for God. One problem: The case has been scripted but Helen Hannah won't go down without saying what she has to say first. She starts working Mitch to ask questions that would probe the witnesses (including her brother who received the mark in the second one). Mitch's former flame and the prosecutor of this case the steely Victoria Thorne (this is a female character that I feel has been wonderfully scripted) is the arm of the law in O.N.E. court. Victoria tells Mitch that he must stick to the script, but when he deviates from it she starts to get suspicious as the games start but death is the result of losing this dangerous game Mitch finds out that a bus attack was O.N.E. instead of Christians called 'haters' and is referenced to in the film also. JT (Mr.T) tries to get something done so he can teach the O.N.E. a lesson but this time he wants to resort to violence and goes off on his own and receives a black market mark.Mitch starts finding out the truth and finds out that Helen's right in what she is saying. In the end, good prevails and he renounces the mark (black market mark) and Macalusso and is shot by Victoria Thorne. Helen Hannah escapes also, and Selma seen in all but one of the films (the ones I've seen) testifies on behalf of God as does Helen. This is a great story but more importantly it is an account that will be multiplied in the end times and it is coming soon, we know neither the hour nor the day.It is a wonderfully written film and I'd love to get the series when it is available.

I believe the movie was awesome especially for those who really have read the word of God, what was seen is really what can happen at that time in History. So check yourself and get your house in order, if you are a non-believer that's fine because no one has a Heaven or Hell to put you in, you send yourself there. To the cast and crew from the movie Judgment, keep on doing the work for the Lord. I am not going to respond to the lame comments that others made about this great movie, but I will say, that the characters in this movie were phenomenal, it's really hard work especially, when you talk about doing a movie nowadays about the end times and tribulation, trials, etc... I was very thrilled and excited to watch this, movie.

I realize that this is what is considered to be a "B" grade movie, but what can you expect with Hollywood not wanting to pour money into a movie that only a small percentage of people are going to watch. The people in this movie may not all be big name actors, but some of them are. I, for one, am pleased to see Christian actors doing a movie, not for the money they will make, but for the message that it brings.If you liked this movie, please watch Left Behind, it explains the Rapture in greater detail and is more of a descriptive movie than a "thriller." There is also Left Behind II-Tribulation Force, and Left Behind-World War III (which is called Nicolae in the book series) is coming soon. Also there is Deceived, Tribulation, and Revelation. I rate this movie as tops in the series. Best of the four. Not the greatest action but good acting makes this believable. Nick Mancuso does an excellent job of portraying the devil in this court room battle putting God on trial. Hope to see more great Christian movies like this from Paul LaLonde.
