It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

One of the best films about music.Haney illicitly elevates the participant out of the numberless crowd to stand at the focus. No Cameras Allowed is like an acid-trip fusion of At The Max and Kurosawa's Dreams. The sublime cinematography and the intoxicating sense of the forbidden made me want to drop everything and do what Haney does. There is no one who is less in need of actually finishing film school than James Marcus Haney. What he has cannot be taught: unique perspective and the eye of a great artist. I hope that Haney will make many more films because this one looks like the beginning of something awesome.
