Scrat is known for being responsible for putting the continents on the place where they are today, but not in this short film. It came out shortly before the 4th and so far last "Ice Age" movie and shows us the main character's attempts to catch an acorn on a small deserted island and under the sea. Finally, he ends up with the "Ice Age" characters, but also with the main villain from this 4th film. So, he appeared first in this short film and then in a real movie. I liked that movie, he definitely is a scary character and elevates his full feature film. I cannot say the same about this Scrat short film. these 3 minutes were rather forgettable in my opinion. Then again, I have never been too big on Scrat, which includes his other short films and I also think that his segments are usually the weakest in the "real" movies. Only the ending here was good with all the other character, not recommended.

This very brief short continues the title character's adventures in trying to retrieve his elusive acorn. This time, he goes underwater before...well, I'll just suggest you watch the short which I watched before Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked. Okay, since there's a requirement that there be at least 10 lines before I can submit this review, I'll just say that I really enjoyed what I've seen so far of these Scrat shorts and I've also enjoyed him in the first Ice Age feature though I've yet to watch the sequels. And despite the formula plotting, there was also some good variations on that plot that I was enough entertained by. And the ending of this one looks like a start of another adventure, so on that note, Scrat's Continental Crack-Up: Part 2 is recommended.
