It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

First excuse My English. What a great movie,One of the best Comedy Movies I ever watched, obviously there is some racists guys that hate black movies. This was great beautiful directing, beautiful city, and funny. Cedric the entertainer and Mike Epps, were really extraordinary funny. I watched the movie 5 Times,And I am not bored until now. I did not watch old Honeymooners ,so I don't give shi.. about IT. IT is just a movie, how in the world can a Real Human with feelings say that this movie is not funny. Thank you Cedric for entertaining me. This is one of the Most underrated movie I ever saw. It was only Ignored because black Men and Women, play the Kramdens.

Chauncey Street, where the Kramdens and Nortons lived, never looked so good as depicted by the famous series with Jackie Gleason. Even though the movie is in color, Ralph and Alice don't exactly look like their apartment is lacking. The original apartment told the story in a nutshell.Alice, in this movie, is far too sophisticated for the role. When she talks, it sounds like she could be a psychologist or social worker, despite lacking the educational requirements.Cedric is adequate but of course is never in the same league as the great Gleason. Ditto for Michael Epps, his interpretation of the Ed Norton character doesn't hold a candle to Art Carney. The writing here is silly;although, the Kramdens of the 2000s still have high aspirations, and Ed and Ralph will still come up with any scheme possible to fulfill those dreams. Of course, their vulnerability still exists.

Based on the TV series, The Honeymooners is the film about two best friends, bus driver Ralph Kramden (Cedric the Entertainer) and sewer worker Ed Norton (Mike Epps) who try to make a lot of money to get them out of Brooklyn and onto easy street. Standing by their husbands are wives Alice (Gabrielle Union) and Trixie (Regina Hall), who help their guys make ends meet by waitressing at a neighborhood diner.I wasn't around for the T.V. show, so I know nothing about it. There has been a lot of talk into why there is a black cast and either names have changed, I don't know. I remember in the summer when this movie came out. I wasn't a blockbuster hit, and the critics weren't buying it. I remember how people said this was a terrible movie. After I watched it, I have to disagree. After I watched this movie, I was thinking, what was so bad about this movie? It's actually not that bad like others say. I was just an "OK" movie to me. I'm not gonna say that this is a good movie. I laughed a couple scenes. The Honeymooners probably won't be a movie that I would want to watch again, but if I have to, I just may. I think some people could see this movie. Again, I know nothing about the T.V. show, maybe the fans of the show will be mad, but oh well. I'd give this a 6.5/10

YEAH! "The Honeymooners," baby! A classic show gets an extreme makeover for the new millennium! It's nice to see that a black cast finally has a go at this movie based on, of course, that classic CBS show with the same title! You know, I heard a previous poster suggest that a theatrical remake of "The Honeymooners" would have been better if Josh had played a role. I mean, both ideas are great! Now, let's see the same things happen to other classic shows, like "I Love Lucy" and "The Brady Bunch!" "The Honeymooners" is one movie that should never be missed! It has all the laughs, all the smiles, all the fun...everything America likes in its cinema!
